Ok Ty. I felt full fast for breakfast but once i uploaded Mfp like will change!! 365 cals for 1 scrambled egg??? Omg !I would double check the calorie count on that, did you mix your egg with anything. If you have one egg and just scramble it and use Pam cooking spray there should only be about 60-70 calories in that.

I got my girst fill oct 30 and ever since i have non stop gas. I burp constantly throughout the day. Its so annoying. Does anyone else have this and how do u get rid of it I have tried gas-x and its not working. I also have only lost 7 pounds since surgery and i am eating right.I got my first fill on Monday and I had a lot of gas yesterday whenever I would drink. I found if I just sipped instead of taking a drink it wasn't so bad.

I know everyone is different but i have 4.5cc in my 10 cc band and feel nothing 1 day after my second fill. I was tight yesterday and stayed on liquids but today Im normal again. So those of you with 10cc band how many cc's did it take to get to your green zoneWhen I went for my fill on Monday, I already had 4cc in my band we found out. They told me normal green zone is between 5-7cc, they added 1cc to mine. Today will be my first day on regular meals so excited to see how I feel. On Monday and half of Tuesday I couldn't handle much to drink, last night I had some soft food and was surprised how quickly I was full.
-
I know there is some in mine too but I'm due a fill on saturday! Can I ask...did it hurt?
Once they locate your port it doesn't hurt. I had my first fill on Monday and the only time it hurt was when they were trying to locate my port.

Just got my first fill, they put 1cc in, didnt know i already had 4cc in it. Back to fluids only for 24 hours. Then soft food for 24 hours, then I can start planning meals. Wow, i can start eating what i make for my family
They gave me a chart of where they recommend my weight each month and I am already 5lbs under where I am supposed to be on the 13th of Nov. yeah I am so excited.

I don't have my first fill for four more weeks. I am not really hungry' date=' just really miss food lol. After only eating broth and Jello for three weeks, it makes you wonder when you go to mushies and eat more calories, will you not but on weight? I'm not complaining, just confused on how this works when our calorie intake has been extremely reduced. One more question, why is banders weight loss so much slower than gastric bypass? How much less can we possibly eat?[/quote']
Since I've been on soft foods I have gone up and down a pound, depends on the day, but pretty much have maintained where I've been since after the first week. As far as I know about the difference between gastric bypass and the band, with the bypass they don't absorb as much of the nutrients that we do, most of the digestive process is bypassed where with the band it makes our stomach smaller so that we eat less. It's about eating the right foods the right way and exercising.

I got banded on 10/19 and lost 12lbs pre op and then 9 more 5 days post op. I am at the exact same weight up or down a pound. What I don't understand is how I am eating 1/8th of the food I used to eat and the weight not falling off. Am I the only one here?I am about the same, I dropped 10lbs pre-op, down 10lbs post-op the first week after surgery, now nothing for the past 2 weeks. I go tomorrow for my first post-op visit and fill. I really hope this helps. I have been thinking that my body has gone into starvation mode because even though I have been trying to stay under the 800cals. A day they told me to, I have had really bad hunger pains for the past 3 days

Thanks!!!! I have my Wii Fit Biggest Loser and I'm starting to do about 10-15 minutes. I will start walking to get rid of the gas.... I mean I know my tummy was already big but' date=' know it's like someone put a big ballon inside me. I sometimes find it hard to drink Water, especially if I'm not thirsty it's like I'm forcing it and I'm full....Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk[/quote']
Ya i was shocked how much i looked like i had a pregnant belly after surgery. My oldest daughter is having a baby in 4 1/2 weeks and we were comparing who looked further along, lol.
I keep a Water container with me always. I got one that i can keep track of how much i drink and it has a metal screen in it so i cant take big drinks so i think thats been helping me, there were days in the first couple of weeks i was lucky if i could get 1 cup in, now im drinking about 5-8 cups a day. I found if its flavored i tend to drink more of it.

I'm two weeks post op and my tummy is still swollen??? When will my tummy return to normal??? And it's not helping that my monthly visitor is here too( I know tmi' date=' I'm sorry) I feel so bloated and when should I start exercising???Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk[/quote']
If you can handle walking, you need to walk to get the gas out, once i started walking more and more mine went down. Im 3 weeks today post-op. I got my visitor the day after surgery, not fun. Drink as much Water as you can too it helps.
My surgeon said no other exercise except walking until 4-6 weeks, guess he will tell me more on Monday. Supposed to keep our core quiet so it can heal without added stress of exercise.

I'm surprised he didn't prescribe you a liquid antibiotic! I wish you a speedy recovery! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> hang in there!
I was surprised when i went to the pharmacy and it was pills. I was able to swallow them whole. The incisions are still red but i see him monday so hopefully he will figure it out.
Thank you

Have you heard from the dr?
-
Gross! HA! I should hope that it's stuck. Can you imagine pulling it and your legs fall off!?
Lol now that would be hilarious. I showed my kids and my daughter was like eewww don't do that. She thought it would open and then you could see my insides, lol
-
I have a lot of bruising. Very red around some of the incisions too. Something I will have to keep an eye on
My bruising is starting to fade now, incisions were really red and itchy after surgery. When I called the dr they said I was probably allergic to the glue. Still have red now and had to take another course of antibiotics. I have a stitch sticking out of one incision that was supposed to be an inside stitch. I go for my first post-op on monday so hopefully they will get rid of it. I tried pulling it but its stuck, lol.

Hello Everyone! I was banded Oct 29 and started the full Fluid diet today. I have never felt hungry like this before in my life but I am focusing on the future and how good I will feel. I am thankful for this forum. It is helpful to read about what other banders are going through. I went back to work two days post op but only lasted 2 hours. I am feeling much better today and I was able to shower!! Gas is still painful but not so bad and only after I drink.Best- J
One thing that helped when I got hungry was drinking some warm tea or broth. It helped a lot so I didnt get real hunger pains until a few days ago. I was banded 10-12.

So I am 3 days Post-opt & feeling pretty good... Head aches r gone just needed to eat some broth. Here is my next ?. How long before u guys all started driving? I want to run to the store & get more Soups & popsicles & I want to drive. Havent talking any pill sence early wensday morning So i know i am safe from that.It really just depends on what your surgeon said. Mine told me as long as I wasn't taking the pain medicine I could drive after 24 hours. I drove the day after surgery so I could go to work. Just see what your body tells you when you drive. I had to use my husbands car for the first 2 weeks because it hurt to drive stick shift.

Hey Yall. Had surgery October 29th. Wondering how much bruising is normal? It all depends on what they gave you and how they did the surgery. I was given a shot of heparin before surgery. I was banded 10-12 and I still have a bruise where they gave me the shot. It's also really close to where my biggest incision is and the most tender area. I go for my first post-op on Monday and get my first fill so hopefully they will be able to tell me how much of it is normal.
Congrats on banding
A Very Blessed December Challenge

I didn't make my goal, i have lost a total of 43lbs since my pre-op Oct. 5, for Christmas my husband bought me a pair of jeans (he doesn't like buying clothes) they were a size 18 and they are baggy on me. I am so happy. Seems like I am losing more inches than weight so I will take it. At Pre-op I was in a 26.
Praying everyone has a Blessed New Year and congrats on everyone's journey.
