  1. Hang in there I done pre op diet two times' date=' the first time I was 3 days from surgery and they found a spot on my lung due to a severe bronchitis I had previously. Off the pre op for one week then back on for 2 weeks. It sucked I must say. I made it and it does get easier as the days pass. Still to this day I can't stand the taste of oatmeal.[/quote']

I'm hoping it gets easier!! Although I must say I get more sleep on the pre op diet bc I go to bed now at 8:30 lol I don't like having extra time to think bc then I think I should eat so I just go to bed when my kids do!

  2. You need to find a Protein drink you like' date=' these will be around for as long as you have the band. You will need to use them at different times when you can not get enough Protein in. When you have a fill, when your sick, when you want to build muscle after you lose the fat. With lapband protein intake is key to the weight lose and those nasty protein drinks help. As far as the BR problem, I drink so much liquids all the time I am always in the BR day and night. Today for example I have drank 15-16 8oz glasses of liquids and this is pretty much an average for me and this does not count the coffee I had this morning. When I was struggling with my protein, I mixed it in only 4ozs of liquid or mixed it with ice to make it thick. Hope this helps.[/quote']

It's not that I don't like my drinks in just sick of them!! Tired of drinking them all day everyday it's soooo tiring! I know it's all part of the process and what I signed up for just frustrated!

  3. Hi!!!! My name is Jamia and I am 22 years old, mother of three(four if u count my hubby ;) ). I went to the weight loss seminar back in February and weighed in at 235.4 and I am 5 ft 4ish. My insurance required me to so a three month documented diet with a dietitian but it ended up being four months since I had a slip up and gained some weight between one of my visits. Long story short, I got approved and I am on day 5 of my pre op diet and my surgery date is set for the 12th of October!!!
