Girl u will LOVE the lady who does the psych eval! She's sooooooooo sweet!! I did my last weigh In yesterday ..waiting to go pick up the paper work from that doc oneday this week..I have to wait until at least after the first week of June because I work for school system and I have a wedding to attend in destin June 7th so I don't want to have surgery before then and take a chance of problems before all that ...hopefully second week of June ..let me know how the psych exam goes and how u like her!

I go for my last weigh in mon or tues( for my 6 month required diet) ...and she will file the next day she said she would have results for approval within minutes.. Thing is I work for school system so have to wait til after schools out..then I have to go to destin for a wedding the first week of June soooo I'm hoping I can get a surgery day as soon as I get back.i have looked for someone on here who is using Dr Pennington with no luck until now!

That is EXACTLY why I am doing bypass...I was dead set on band because it wasn't as invasive also...then I did tons of obsessive research and here I wait for an approval & date

I haven't had surgery yet ( think June) but I am choosing bypass because I need the accountability of possible dumping..and I have read where several people have had their sleeve revised to bypass...I also felt like bypass had more stats for success and sleeve is relatively new ?

I'm shooting for June..I go for my last required weigh in Monday then she said they will submit tues..said she will know within minutes if I'm approved..I work for school system and also have to go to a wedding in destin ..so I will have to wait til after it which is the whole week of June 7 I'm praying I can get a date for as soon as I return back home from the beach ..school ends may 24

Good luck! I go for my last 6 month diet weigh in the 15 th then I can submit I'm so afraid I be denied:/ they seem to think all will be well buy I'm still worried!

This is off subject but is the sleeve not as successful as RNY? One surgeon I went to tried to say sleeve I said no I needed the accountablity dumping could give ..he said ok lol I've always been curious about sleeve vs rny stats

Also have they offered to reverse the rny..I know it's unusual..but I was told only the sleeve is irreversible

So if u can only get sutures have they considered the staples may be cauSing some of your problems?

Sounds like u could use a Buddy for accountablity? I dunno I'm still preop and NOT looking forward to the diet I have to do before surgery because i always eat when i am not really hungry and keep eating because it taste good(does that make me an addict)lol yet super excited to get the word I have a date! Maybe if u had someone u could talk to when I have there's struggles with food&stress? Just my 2 cents? :-)

The docs usually put u on a preop diet for the purpose of shrinking the liver...to get it out of the way for surgery ..this way its easier to access your stomach and lessens the chance of damage to the liver..my surgeon requires his patients to go on a 2 week diet meal plan that I will purchase from his office..I would just call ..I'm sure the receptionist will know @ least mine @ my doc is very knowledgeable about his practice.

When was ur surgery...I haven't had it yet waiting for my last last weigh(April 15th!!!!) in before I can submit for approval super anxious..ill add ya!!
