Ahhhh... Sorry Heather... I guess I'm a little skittish coming back after all of this time! I was banded July of 2004... did wonderfully until my stomach started getting touchy about fills. Now... I am sinking because I can't seem to tolerate fills and therefore can eat anything and everything. Hopefully I'll be able to try having a fill again soon... and before I gain all of my weight back! It was a big wake-up call to find out that my old issues with food are still alive and well and without my band giving me restriction I am really struggling. I started at 257 ... now I am 210... I had gone down to 189. That's my story... well... the very short version.

Hiya Heather... Well there is no sense in stirring an ole pot of stew... I didn't come back thinking that the old problems are gone... just came back determined to focus on all of the good that this forum has to offer. This forum helped me so much prior and post banding... I shouldn't have left... so here I am. Glad to meet you.

What am I missing? Why are ppl leaving?
nightingale2u replied to gadgetlady's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
3Loves... that is a wonderfully simple and true statement and on that note... Well... It's been about a year since I've posted here and I have to say that I have missed more members than I can count. As I mentioned in a PM to one of those missed members... I hope that I will be forgiven for leaving and letting one bad apple ruin the sweetness of all the other sweet apples on the LBT tree. It would be impossible for this many to gather without personality conflicts but the flip side of that is... so many people gather here... what a wonderful resource! So simply... I am hopeful to be back and sharing in all that is here at LBT... I'm sorry that I left and I choose to see all that is good here from this point forward. Will I ever jump in the midst of a flame war again... probably not... but hey... I'm human and I'm a woman... one never knows. Darcy -
My heart goes out to Carolyn's husband and family... what a terrible loss. I pray that you will find the strength and support you need to help you through this time. Blossom was a bright addition to Lap Band Talk and she will be missed by so many. Blossom... While I know that tears will not bring you back they flow freely for the loss of such a bright light in this world. In your honor... I promise to try and live my life as if every day might be my last... I promise to hug my dear husband and daughter and tell them I love them every chance I get, and I promise to cherish every moment in this dear life that I am given. Sending you many hugs for you to take on your journey.... Darcy

Congratulations to Nolan on his entrance to the world and sending prayers for his surgery and for a quick recovery. I'm sure he will be a blessing for your whole family as some of the most wonderful gifts come from unexpected challenges. Babies are miracles and I'm sure Nolan is a beautiful gift. -

Guys... I'm tellin ya... unjury is the best tasting Protein drink I tried... and I tried a lot of them! It has less fat and less calories than the advantage shakes and honestly... the chocolate is very good... never tried the vanilla... yjr unflavored mixes well into Soups and such... somebody here at LBT rec. it to me and I was SOOOOOOO happy when I tried it as I was gagging down a different brand. www.unjury.com -
Moderator and Privacy Issues on LBT
nightingale2u replied to Alex Brecher's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Alex... First of all... this forum is like my second family and it has been terrible watching another moderator being attacked publicly... especially when one of the other moderators was directly involved... apologies aside... this was unacceptable behavior from a moderator IMHO ... it shows an lack of impulse control and a tendency toward being swayed easily into destructive activities. I think we all deserve to feel that the moderators will all support each other and stay removed and impartial when events like this crop up. I hope you will consider this... Thank you so much for creating this forum... it really has been a godsend for me!!!! -

Trish...You'll be having before AND after pics before you know it!!!! You'll be amazed!!! Until then you are a pretty girl with hair to die for!!!! Wishing you a wonderful journey to bandland! -
Kelly and Ryan... and any other members that have left and or are afraid to post... you are missed... every single person has the potential to make a positive addition to this forum... I am so sad that a couple of people chose a different path and the loss of members breaks my heart... ((((Hugs))))

Try going to the lower dose patch Princess... I had to go to step 2 as step one gave me chestpain and made me feel like poo... and the patches did make the process a lot less stressful. Wishing you the best and be proud of yourself because what a tough and hugely important battle you are fighting! You can do it!

Moderator and Privacy Issues on LBT
nightingale2u replied to Alex Brecher's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think Alexandra does a wonderful job as an impartial moderator and I feel that all of the moderators should have that same goal in mind and should be able to trust each other and present in a cohesive manner. Freindships aside... I feel a moderator should always act in the best interest of the forum as a whole not in the best interest of a single friendship. Donali... I love your mind... can I borrow it sometime.
