OH MY GORSH! WHat a sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had a cute baby to love on!!!!! Sorry about the storm from hell... yikes! I am a big weenie about storms... if I even hear a whisper about a tornado I am down in the basement while all of the neighbors are outside having a block party in hopes of getting a glimpse of it...lol. I hope you don't suffer a lot of damage! TTFN

Okay... well.. it might not be really crisp... but hopefully in the 70's! Just checked the weather... 75... perfect. 98 sucks... I'd be in the pool too!
-
Aw Joy... I'm so sorry that you both are going through this. Hopefully you will find a way to work things out but if you don't... try really hard to remain friends. There's a fine line between love and hate and it's easy to get carried away with the negative and that's not healthy for anyone involved. Wishing all three of you the best...

Up to the shack to enjoy the crisp fall air and a roaring campfire.
-
That is beyond fantastic! Congratulations!

Hi Mary... Glad to see ya here! I know... I finally stepped in the stinky stuff... darn it... and I was doing so well! Oh... and I hope I didn't offend any of you with my post to L and P. I imagine there are differing opinions even here on the Jersey thread and I respect that. (((hugs)))

Paula... Leatha... I'm sure things went on behind the scenes that I was unaware of... but... the fact is... New Hope kept it behind the scenes instead of airing the dirty laundry for all the forum to see. Again... my reaction here today is in regards to Lisa/Fitters first admission post. Does it not make everyone just a little queasy???? To be honest... I am more upset with Penni as I held her to a higher standard as a moderator. Anyhoo... sorry guys... this stuff was eating a hole in my stomach.
-
Well... here goes nothing! Of course... like so many others... I have watched and read all of the drama but perhaps with a little different perspective that some of the newer members. THe only reason I am coming forth to post is that I don't want what was said in the FIRST FITTER thread to be forgotten. I am actually sad that post was locked only becuase LISA actually put in black and white the terrible way she and Penni behaved... schemed...lied and plotted against a specific member and towards the forum in general. THough they may both be capable of good... let me tell you... they are BOTH capable of the opposite as well. I do not want it to be lost that Lisa and Penni ganged up on New Hope on the Public forum... they showed no mercy... neither of them. I don't claim to know what went on privately between New Hope and DeLarla and Penni... BUT... I do know what terrible things they said publicaly. New Hope was an extremely supportive and caring moderator and please feel free to look up all of her old posts to see that this is true. She didn't deserve the treatment she got and she DID deserve to be backed by the other moderators and by Alex the owner. She certainly didn't deserve a public flogging by another moderator. (Penni). THis is IMHO. Keep in mind... this stuff was posted in the PUBLIC forum. Lisa... girl... there was a time that I really thought you were a kick... funny... witty... smart and so on. When I saw how nasty... relentless... and mean you could be when provoked... it really scared the crap out of me. You know... abusive men use the same tactics... "You made me lose my temper"... "Why did you go on and provoke me like that"... "You know I didn't mean it... I just get a little CRAZY sometimes". You are charming... I'll give you that... and I imagine you would do anything for the people you love... however... God help the people you hate. It wasn't worth being your friend to take the risk that one day I could suffer your wrath. Anyhoo... I am not getting into your thang with Susan... don't have a clue about that situation but I didn't want anyone to forget... that you and Penni DID lie... You both DID scheme... You both DID stalk... You both DID bully... and both did... as in your own words SCREW with other members. WHen your friends post that the one thing you NEVER do is lie... I cringe. I'm just busting with pride that I considered you a friend. To the forum... I bring this up out of respect for the moderator/member New Hope that was bashed... and for the fact that Lisa's admission of wrong doing seemed to go without much notice. Her little spat with Susan seems to be of more importance than her admission of wrong doing. I realize she only did it to bring Penni down with her but that doesn't make it any less shocking. Anyhoo...not much changed in the year or so that I was away... nice. Mr. Alex... I don't know what your big plan is here???? Good luck with it whatever it may be. Oh... I have my sticks and stones protective suit on... just so you all know.

Hiya Ladies... Dianne... I am sorry that Miss Lucy is with the vet again but sometimes it is a load of ones heart and mind! I'm surprised they didn't do and X-Ray on your first visit to rule out an obstruction? I hope they figure out what the heck is happening! Get some sleep tonight girl! Patty... It's unfortunate how I have gotten my dog knowledge... too many sick dogs I'm afraid! Maybe get a little mutt/mix when you do get one... they seem to have a more diverse gene pool and sometimes seem to be healthier dogs in general. I swear... from now on this girl is getting a mutt! I'm glad the twins survived day one in the big world of high school! Cindy... Huh? LOL... ya lost me there! Oh wait... I think I do get it... doy... took me a minute to figure out the code there! I've learned the read and run technique... I didn't have a choice last time really... but this time I'll just read and move on down the road... straight to Jersey!!!! Kat... you better keep a leash on that hubby of yours! As he feels better it will be harder to keep him out of trouble! Okay.. so... Patty's making pancakes and coffee in the morning???? (((hugs)))
-
Dianne... I really would take her off of food for a couple of days... just water and then introduce s l o w l y the cooked white rice with a very small amount of canned food mixed in. Is it possible that she is getting into something in the yard??? I feel for ya both!!!! She may get dehydrated if the diarrhea and vomiting keep up so check by pulling up an area of skin... if it pops right back into place when you let go... that is good... if it slowly goes back into place... not so good and she may need IV fluids if she is not able to keep water down. You may have to take her back in Dianne... I am so sorry she is sick and I so know how tired you feel... hang in there girl!

Morning... Dianne... It is a food that is for problems with specific breeds... Ava's breed is prone to skin allergies and stomach problems and so I thought the royal canine would be worth a try. It worked so I will continue to pay out of the nose. I get it at PetCo. Eukanuba is what my old vet rec. I feed Ava ... the new one rec. a prescription diet and I was just giving the Royal canine a try before paying the REALLY high price for ID. Sherry... I'm sorry for all of the stuff going on with your job... stress throws everything in life off! I hope things get better soon! (((hugs))) Betty... You better take a nap on your lunch break today! Eileenie weeinie fo feenie... Feeling fine since my public poop chute viewing! I got the results back and the polyp was of the type that turns into cancer so I am very happy that the rrhoids sent me in for an early scoping! THe house thang is on hold... and I think I may have ta go on that 4 wk diet with your hubby! LOL. Glad you had a good time at the zoo and I have to agree... giraffes are beautiful! Lashes to kill for! Have a good day all... (((hugs)))

Surgery Date Set and Felling Apathetic
nightingale2u replied to lanie2006's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think it's perfectly normal... I know I even played the game of "maybe I could go on a diet and do it myself". I really played head games with myself the week before my surgery so get set for a little of that! Just hang in there!!! -
Congratulations Chrissie! Some folks have a long wait so you are really fortunate to have things moving along so quickly! Wishing you a safe journey to Bandland!
-
Rebecca... obesityhelp.com has a physician finder to assist in finding a bariatric surgeon near to you. Good Luck!
-
Yep... I agree... limit the scale to once a week or even less as Tricia suggested. Try to focus more on the other ways to measure weight-loss such as measuring at least once a month... paying attnetion to how your clothes fit... taking not of how you are feeling such as more energy... less shortness of breath... walking longer distances... less aches and pains... etc. Wishing you the best....
-
Julie... I wouldn't consider it normal to have this suddenly occur. WHenever there is a major change that you notice post-op you should really notify your surgeon. This could be nothing and it could really be something... I would talk to you surgeon before you leave town. Hope you get the answers that you need!
-
Mandy... I am so sorry that you are leaving... members with a sweet spirit are in short supply these days! I've been where you are... deleted posts... took off my avatar... asked to be removed as a member but I eventually returned because ... well... I needed support. I hope you find the support and friendship you need... take care...
-
I think with that outlook and great job is right around the corner! What a fantastic NSV! I would offer condolences in regards to the lost job but it looks like it will just be a stepping stone to something much better... good luck!
-
My surgeon said no on carbonation but I do occaisionally have a diet pop on ice. I generally pay for it with a big stomach ache and lots of additional gas... but hey... sometimes a girl just needs a little fizzzzz.
-
Wow Lexi... WHat a journey you have been on! I still have my band but I can tell you that if I had a slip... I would have mine removed and wouldn't even consider having it replaced. I think this will end up being a personal choice for you... but if you do pay privately... you may have to pay out of pocket for any testing or follow-up care that is related to your new band. I am very thankful that my insurance has picked up the tab for all of my follow-up care... the totals would have sent us to the poor house for sure! Again... so sorry that you had to go through all of that!
-
Patty... Boy...you just gave me a little flas h for how I am going to feel when I drop Em off into the big world of high school. I can still remember that I was terrified on my first day! I'm sure the twins ended up having a great first day...that fear of the unkown is the worst! I hope somebody is able to lead you in the direction of that letter... I don't have a clue... but I sure hope it helps when you do find it! Cindy...good to see you and YES... I agree that if more teachers made PE fun then more children would grow up enjoying exercise! In regards to cheese... don't get me started girl! LOL. I have made a promise to myself to stay out of that mess... and it's getting harder and harder for me to keep my big pie hole shut. Dianne... What are you feeding Lucy now???? I fed Ava rice mixed with a small amount of high quality canned food for few days after her episode. Hope she feels better soon! Hiya Allison... Nuttin wrong with being nosy! Hope you are having a good day! DONNA.... SERIOUSLY.... WHERE ARE YOU????????????????
-
Awwww Kat... I was hoping that Lucy was for you... but as long as she is being loved by someone... all is good in the world! Dianne... Been there ...don't that as far as not knowing what was wrong when my girl had the stomach issues. Sometimes food allergies can cause a lot of problems. I switched Ava to Royal Canine and found that cheese... hot dogs... Iams bones... EVERY THING else causes the poor girl diarrhea and stomach problems. Now her treats are her balls and such. Pat... LOL about the hail comment. Hehehehe.
