  1. Thanks yes, im going with the sleeve seems to be the better choice for me. I dont drink much anymore. I was just curious.
  2. Ok so i havent had the sleeve done yet. I know i wont be able to drink as much or at all for awhile which is fine lol. I dont drink much now but i could drink with the best of them lol So my question is how much can u tolerate after and im not talking about an all night alchol fest. Like maybe getting a few drinks for a bday or somethin. Just curious.

  5. Well my name is David im 29- about to be 30 this week. No kids and single. I just ended my contract in a real-estate position of 2 yrswill be back at the begining of the yr. decided to finally take the steps for surgery. I live in Dallas, Texas wouldnt mind going west though maybe one day lol. I am into all kinds of things cars active in my car club, paintball, college football (big oregon ducks fan here), tx rangers fan, mma, tattoos, and lots of other stuff. Just cant wait to do most of it. I have been looking into getting this done for some time now. Over the last 2 yrs even more serious my grandmother (who raised me) used to encourage me to get it done. I was always the big kid teased until i made the jokes first. I used to smoke its been about 4 months since i quite so its time to move on to bigger changes.

  7. I told my friends and fam that im doing it. Its going to be that extra push if i think about backing out. Im doing this for me if they dont like it to bad. I have been lucky that every1 has been supportive about doing it but i also welcome the negitive. I have gotten alot of questions though. I guess telling them was like having more people in my corner. Dont be embarrased u tried it didnt work they dont understand or know what u have done thus far.

  9. Did anyone turn up the humidity on the humidifier or can u. Mine is adjustable and while getting used to it and adjusting it from the cotton mouth. I turn it up and lets just say i didnt have to worry about cottonmouth but did have to clean the mask out lol
  10. I took out a 10k loan on my car and saved the rest but will claim on taxes so i get most of it back (over the 7.5%) that will go back into the loan get it back to where it was and help improve my credit hopefully. Im hoping to get a house next yr.

  12. Good luck. I had a sleep study done. Its hard to sleep at 8pm with insomnia lol. They woke me up every 30 min (mask, check finger sensor, another mask, chin strap, ect) then the goo the put on your head. My results were not good. They called me the next day for my machine. I have been using my cpap every night for the last couple months. I can tell a difference with it.
  13. I refinanced my car and took out a loan on it. I have heard i can claim it on my income tax here in tx.
  14. Hello every1, Im David here in Dallas. new to the site been browsing around. I have my consult with Nick Nicholson on the 12th im self pay. I went to the seminar a couple months ago. Im excited to get this done kinda nervous and been debating on this or band. im thinking the sleeve will be the best option. I have been the big kid/guy all my life and im ready for a change.
  15. Thanks.since im self pay im hoping to get most of it back income tax time. I took out a loan to have it done. They are saying i could have it in as little as 2 weeks after the consult(2 weeks for the liquid diet). When i started checking it out the insurance told me it would be 6 months. Thank u lana i will prob be asking alot of questions.
  16. Hello every1. Im new here i have browsed around b4 getting some info. I have my consultation in a few weeks. I have decided to get the band and can not wait for this. I have been looking into the sugery for awhile and since im paying out of pocket that was tough too.
