  1. Hi, there XX Be gone

Can you share the name of the bra company that you mentioned or a website address? Sound like a great resource.:cursing:

    Thanks, Bandedgirl08

I have been buying from www.brasthatfit.net Ask for Rita (owner) and tell her that Julie from Cali sent you. She is awesome - I have built a good customer relationship w/ her & at times when I order my bra, if I am interested in a new style, she will send it along w/ my bra so I can 'try it on,' if I like I keep, if not I send it back. This was after years of odering.

When I order I give her my EXACT size of my rib cage under my breast and I pull it snug. Then I measure my breast in my best fitting bra and measure this on the looser side (what works best for me) I am a 33in rib and 41in breast. Very difficult to find a soft cup in that size. Being as large as I am I have thrown away $$ on trying to find the best fitting bra. I have one that i LOVE, but because it does not come in my size any longer, I have Rita cut it down for me. I order a 38H and have her cut it down to 33inch, which is like wearing a 34J(us) http://yhst-12634472567239.stores.yahoo.net/go40nu.html

The work looks as if it came from the manufacture, and the first time I had her do this I called and questioned if they really cut it down.)

I have recently ordered my first underwire bra in over 14years - I ordered a 34GG/J (UK sizing) Elomi/Goddess 5810 Cocoa Underwire Bra

It fits well and the wires don't poke out or cut into my side or crush my ribs (guessw that is because I am properly fitted). The band is a little looser than snug and in about 10-15 lbs will begin ridding up because I have lost rib size. The only thing w/ this bra and most underwire like this I was not used to not having cleaveage. :Dancing_sad:) I seem flat, but it gives a great support and lift - I wear it when I go swimming under a favoriate tank or swimsuit.

Another company that i have been looking at but never order from is www.bravissimo.com This is over in the UK I Beleive. Their band size ranges from 28 - 40 and cups

D - L (but UK sizes) I havent order from them yet due to $$ and I am still changing a bra size every 2-3 months, but plan on buying a few outfits when I am at goal.

I personally want to find a professional bra maker in my area, but because they are so expensive ($100+/_) I am waiting until I am at goal.

  2. Well I am figuring w/ a lift I would loose some size - and am thinking an implant would be needed to help regain the fullness. I know I wouldn't want to be J when I am at my goal, that wouldn't look right... well unless I was making films )

I have just recently learned about mastppexy, but am not sure if that will be "good enough" to give me the nice full look I want.

DDD might be a good size heck even DD if I end up having as small of a frame that I think I have hidding.

  3. Well, i just went and got fitted for a real bra...one that really fits! Not the Victoria Secret pretty, but cheap crap, either. Guess what , my size was soooo off! I always thought that i wore a 38 D... No, after being fitted properly by a pro, i found out that i wear a 36E!!! no more muffin top, spilling over the sides, arm-pit boobie...a very flattering, supportive and very comfy bra. I now look like i have a nice bustline, sitting way higher, and sort of seperated, instead of just a big shelf sitting there...! It looks like i have lost another 15 pounds...what a difference.

so if anyone thinks that they look too top heavy, go get a fitting, and be as pleasantly suprised as i was!!!!!

:)) Glad to see another join the "correct bra size" club. Most women do not wear their correct bra size. We can blame this on the stores, because they limit the size that is displayed.

Ever since I have learned to measure for a proper fit, my breast look beautiful in my bras. But because of my size 34J(us)/34G(uk) I can never walk into a store and pull one off the rack - I haven't in about 10 years. OH and they are much more $$$

  4. For me I do consider and value my husbands opinion, just as he does of mine.

He too has always liked a larger fuller woman w/ curves. I am blessed and have curves, so when I loose more my curves are more noticeable - that helps.

My husband has pnly known me as 280lbs - 300 and loved all of me.

He considers my thoughts and opinions and wants me to be healty, confident& happy. But I have also given him permission to tell me when I have hit that "magic size" in his eyes.

Right now we are in agreement w/ 149 (normal BMI) - but when we began this journey we were thinking 170 would be the winner.) Now I am between 149 - 160, but wont know until we see it. I am thinking a size 10 would be just right.

I have a co-worker who had GB and her husband has asked her to gain 10lbs because he thought she looked too skinny - she did gain it and I have to say she does look "healthier" and she is still thin.

I think it is a mixture of the two opinions, but do what is best for you.

  5. I think it would be hard to get a really good long lasting lift result without decreasing size.

I know what you mean with shoulder ratio though, I'm the same, narrow shouldered and wide hipped and I am really thinking a little more breast when I have a lift will balance me out nicely.

But really large breasts make you look fatter than you are. Unless you dress to reveal them, then everything hangs from them and makes you look big all through the middle too. I've two girlfriends that had reductions and both looked amazingly (and flatteringly) slimmer as a result.

Thanks - you know I was not consider the future sag factor... LOL I know they will be reduced in size, but I guess I am just "afraid" of going to small - I love the before and after pics, but I wish they would give the measurements of rib cage & breast. Not just what size bra (many wear the wrong size) or how many CC's were put in.

I am sure a DD would probably look great on me when I loose more weight.

I did take a picture of me and photoshopped my stomach as if I had a TT and left my breast the same size, and by seeing that, it did help to see there was room for reduction.

  6. I have ginormous boobs right now, I'm a 40 DDD,

If you are ginormous, then what am I at 34J? My largest used to be a 48H/I. LOL:biggrin:

For many years I wore the wrong cup size because the stores only carry DD/F at most. I always bought my band size too big so the cups would fit, but that only contributed to bad support and contributed to my sag :)( Once I had been properly measured and discovered my true size I have had to had to order my bras.

I have found a wonderful company who I oder my bras from and even will cut them down for me so I can get the best fit. Currently for a soft cup I oder a 36H and have it cut down to 33 inches which comes to an I cup. (because I love this bra and it does not come in my size).

I can find plenty of underwire cups in my size, so now I am begining to have fun for the first time in my life finding "pretty" & "sexy" bras - no more beigh/white for me!!

I want a lift w/ implants but not sure how large I want to stay. Maybe a DDD

  7. Hi,

I have a question for you LARGE BREASTED ones out there... I mean LARGE that have had or considered PS for your breast.

    Currently I am a 34J(US)/34GG(UK) - I used to be a 48I

I have never minded my breast being large, and never desired a reduction, only lift and firmenss, so I would like to hear about any one in my size range who had a breast lift w/ implants to keep your size around DD/DDD or larger.

How do you feel about your size - do you wish you would have kept them larger but lifted or are you pleased w/the size?

Is there anyone who had a reduction and now you have regreats that they appear too small to you?

I know when I get to goal I want to have a lift w/ some implants, unless the surgeon can lift them and make them look full again w/ out loosing too much size. I am thinking I might get down to a 30-32 and I would still like to be large - more than a DD, just because I am so used to being large on top, plus I think it will look good w/ my hip/waist ratio. (I have small shoulders, so the large breast help to give me more of an hour glass, and helps hides my pear shape).

Does anyone know if insurance would pay for a reduction if I only reduced to a DDD/F - I know sometimes they want to reduce the size so drastically, and that is what I am concerned of.

If you also know of any photos of befores & afters will you please link them?

    Thanks.

  8. Im staying on track today, because I had SO MUCH FUN shopping for clothes on Sunday! I loved the varity of clothes and that they are so much less expensive!

This was my first shopping spree since I have had my surgery and I did not realize how small I have become compaired to my 15yrs of being a size 26. At times I would find myself in the Plus size section looking at clothes LOL, and giggled my way back to the 12/14 section. :smile2:

  9. Thats great news!

I didn't have another barium swallow and my Doc put 5 cc back in on Monday. Its taken me a few days to get used to eating MUCH less again! I can go back for another 1cc next week if I want, but I'm starting to think I might wait a little longer.

I know what you mean about getting used to eating much less. I am even a little scared to even eat now w/ a slight fill.

While I was unfilled for the most part I only drank shakes or ate Soups & mushies, but in the past week was begining to eat other foods. It did take quite a bit to begin to fill me, but quite a bit does not compair to life w/ out the band, but I kept to smaller portions because I didn't want to gain.

I was actually able to loose about 3-5lbs while I was unfilled, so I am happy and proud of that. :biggrin2:

I won't get another fill until after July 2 because I am going to Spain for 2 weeks in June and we don't want to have any problems while I am gone.

  10. I have recently made mushies because of slippage & streatched esophagus.

I use ground turkey because it is very soft and low texture. Cook this up w/ taco seasing. When cooked put in blender and blend w/ some chicken broth - use just enough for what ever consistancy you like. Then top w/ cheese. This was so yummy!!

Cottage - this can be used in so many ways - sometimes w/ salad dressing - just enough to change the flavor. Mix w/ taco seasoning, or any other powder seasing.

I also made blended italian meatballs. Again using turkey meat like the tacos, but I cooked it w/ italian seasing, and put a lot of flavor in it, then blended it in the blender w/ spaghetti sauce.

You can also make egg salad, but instead of chopping use a fine cheese shredder - I love my egg salad this way - don't like the chunks.

Buy powder Soup mix like "Bear Creek" and use that and puree your meat in it. I took some rotisery chicken and purred in the cheddar broccli Soup and it was OH SO GOOD.

  11. Yep me too. But generally my hiccups are just one "spasm" hiccup - one single loud one. People who don't know me and hear this think something is horribly wrong.

On occasion I will get mini multiple ones.

I did have a heital hernia, and that may play a factor in it as well.

  12. Yes, I have had an esophageal dilation about 10 months ago. I didn't have symptoms but went in for a fill because I wasn't losing. Doc put me on liquids for 10 days and I recovered just fine. Now, I am having pain in my throat just above my chest. It feels like a "lump in your throat". Not a sore throat like when you are sick, but a dull pain and it's hard to swallow. I can drink liquids though but haven't eaten. Any advice??

Are you under any stress? This sounds like what I would get sometimes when I am under a lot of stress. My throat would feel as if I swallowed something and it is stuck. There were times I would feel it lower in my esophagus and it would feel tight when the food would go down. I saw a specialist who did not run any test but r/o to be stress related. I think he was right, because when the stress left so did that. This was all prior to banding.

  13. I just found out my band was not slipped. It is my gallbladder. Amazing how much alike the pain was to when I did not chew my food up well enough and it would get stuck going down through my band. Anyways I am having my gallbladder out Mon. 5/19 by the same doctor who inserted my Lap band, which makes me feel alot better.

    Chris

Glad it's not band slippage, but sorry about the GB. Thats nice to have the same surgeon, especially when you have trust and a relationship already established.
    Hi All-

Yesterday I had my band removed and a new one put in due to slippage. The pain and vomiting (sorry) was not nice. I have lost 118 pounds and am two years out this August and do not understand what happened. The surgeon put in a 10cc band where before I had a 4cc. I am down 118 pounds to 170 and only want to loose about 5 more. My highest weight the day of the surgery was 288.6. I am confused as to why this happened after two years. Oh well, be well all.

    Fran

Sorry to hear this. I don't know why sometimes this happens just out of the blue - seems like there are a lot of these. It is difficult when we can not see directly what may have caused it.

  14. Thanks fantastic news! You must feel INCREDIBLY releived!

I hope I am as lucky as you, I have to wait until next monday to see my Surgeon.

I will be looking forward to hearing your good news too. I will be praying for that excellent report for you.

Yes I do feel releived but in a different way - I wasn't really worried about the potential surgery, but was more frustrated that I went so long w/ my symptoms and caused this mess.

I won't see my surgeon until next Wed, so I will post his response then.

    Keep us informed as well.

  15. I have also been told the pretty face thing... One time this guy i was dating said "you'd be so hot if you lost some weight" Of course I was young and insecure, so I didn't say anything, but that hurt.

My grandmother would always tell me that I need to loose weight, and if I ever planned on going to see our family in Italy I need to loose - she always made me feel bad about my self in the weight dept, yet liket the Italian she is, 5mins later she is putting food in my face!! Funny thing is now today at 200 lbs my grandmother thinks I look great and when I told her I need to loose 50 more pounds, she tells me very seriously that I don't need to, I'll be too skinny. LOL - I love my grandma!

Just the other day I had a friend over and she was looking at one of my BIG pictures and she kept saying DANG!! DANG!! I didn't know you were that big... you were HUGE!! - this is comming from a 5ft nothing overweight girl herself. But took it as a compliment anyway. :smile2:)

OH - one time when I was walking down the street when I was 18 some guys in a truck decide they would "MOO" at me - that sucked, and then I was 200lbs.

One insult-hidden compliment I am looking forward someday is some stranger getting so mad at me yelling out "Skinny B*%@H" :tongue2:) That will be the day I laugh and say THANK YOU!!

  16. :smile2: WOOOHOOO - I just picked up my report and CD of fluro from the radiologist and the f/u GI showed that that band was in place, no dilation and no evidence of hernia.

This radiologist did my films a bit different then the last rad, this one did it all standing up and filmed each time I swallowed and tracked it as it went down. The other had me do all different kinds of positions. Part of me wants to doubt, but I am keeping faith that this is Gods answer, because I am going on a mission trip to Spain next month and would have had to cancel if I was going to need surgery.

I still have to see my surgeon for the "final" answer and get his interp of the report and films, but for now I see this as a negative.

I update after I see him to see how we handle the fills.

OH and not weight gain either!! For 2 weeks no fill & total of 30+ days I have had very little restriction. :tongue2:
