  1. I would love to know this as well! I'd also like to know if anyone takes anything post work out. I give it my all while I'm working out and we don't consume very many calories in a day.
  2. I was terrified of a leak but my dr told me basically after 5 days post op your chances are very slim of a complication.
  3. Nope just take it easy! I know it hurts in the beginning.
  4. I've thrown up once since surgery due to food (7 weeks ago) it was due to too much too fast. Do you think either could have been why?

I swear I look for my collar bones a couple times a week. I'm starting to see them slowly becoming more noticeable. I just keep wondering what my face and neck and really my entire body will look like at goal.
  6. OMG! You look amazing!!
  7. Is there a prenatal brand that the pills aren't huge? I tried to buy some this weekend and the pills are insane!
  8. When your shirts are to big at the belly and the under arm piece hangs 3+ inches below your arm pit. Just thought its been a funny week because all my shirts that use to be tight are apparently too big now so it's taken like 15 extra minutes to get ready for work everyday to find clothes that I can wear to work. Please post your funny WLS problems!
  9. Thanks everyone for the suggestions some of them are a couple of my staples. I'd love to go shopping with a couple of you to see what everyone buys. After I go today ill work on putting together a video. Oh the Thai lime shrimp are my favorite but all the trader joes have been out in my area for the last two months!
  10. Hey, I'm going to trader joes and costco today and would love to hear what are some of the VSG friendly foods you like to get at these stores?? I'm thinking of doing a grocery haul video after I go shopping. Thanks!
  11. I agree with other posters ask them to help you get up and walk. The second they moved me to my room for the night I asked to get up and walk. Also ice chips should be fine but depends on when they do the leak test. They did mine in surgery so I didn't have to wait for the ice chips. The hardest parts will be over soon!
  12. I'm 6 weeks out and only get in 400-500 calories a day. I meet with my nutritionist on Thursday so I should have a better idea how much I really need to get in. Oh people are right about the stall I was in one for about 3 weeks and just broke it a couple days ago by loosing 5lbs. However during that stall I went down in a pant size so there was still a lost just not on the scale.
  13. I was on clear liquids in the hospital, purred when I got home ( not the typical purred like no eggs you basically had to just consume without chewing) week 3 started soft foods and week 6 was normal.
  14. That is awesome I'm so excited for you!!!
  15. The poster above is correct its the oxygen tube. Ill be honest I had no idea i was wearing it until about 5pm on my day of surgery when they said they were going to take it off.
  16. Wow sounds like she is doing amazing!
  17. Ha the ugly for me was the first few bowl movements after surgery! I felt bad for the nurses because of the smell. Not too much bad or ugly but the first few days suck!
  18. Yep! It's also the one where a bunch of fire fighters run up in all their gear so I'm sure it'd be a fun experience.

I hope it gets better for you as well! I mentioned to my PCP the next time I saw him I wanted to talk about birth control. Do you know if just the pill helps periods or do the other things like the shot, iud or ring help as well?

This is my second period since being sleeved and I started a week late and have had bad cramps that are continuous. I took basically no pain meds after surgery but I'm taking Tylenol for the cramps. I'm hoping this cramp thing only last this cycle because I would rarely get them before. Anyone else experience this?
  21. You should do the big climb next year! https://secure3.convio.net/llswa/site/SPageNavigator/BC_homepage
  22. Everyone has a different size stomach yes they use different tools but our genetics have some impact on the actual size of our stomachs.
  23. Oh I love the idea of adding a gift note! I'm buying one for my sisters birthday gift as well because since I had surgery she's been really working hard on working out and eating better. It is cool that the fitbit syncs into myfitnesspal I bought the fitbit scale right before surgery and I love having everything sync together. Good luck on the 9th. If it makes you feel better when I got out of surgery I said I never want another surgery again but at 5 weeks out I can say I would do it all over again.
