I hate it when people post just to post.....
In this house, we all have enough socks and underwear to last at least 3 weeks. I HATE doing the laundry but I can't bear for anyone else to do it so I made sure everyone had enough to last until I get around to doing the laundry. Mac - like everyone else, I really, really liked the last poster.

Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters
Phyl, good luck with the consult. I know I'm going to need a tummy tuck when I get to goal. I'm tenatively planning for next February when I get my bonus. I joined the local gym yesterday and have my first appt. with the trainer next Tuesday to go over the target exercises. Hopefully the exercising will kick the weight loss back into gear. I've been plateauing between 174-176 for the past 2 weeks or so.

lovegrapes, I hope you feel better soon and it's just an irritation of your stomach that will ease up after being defilled. BTW, I joined the local gym yesterday and have my first appointment with the trainer next Tuesday to go over the machines and the workouts.

True? Divorce after WLS within 3 years? Why?
(((aMillerJones))) I'm sorry about the entire saga. Keep your chin up and tack this one up to one of those experiences that will only make the next relationship all the more precious.

OMG! I can so relate to that poor kid. Right? I'm so not ready to go back on Monday. It's going to be hell catching up with all those demanding coworkers. It's good to know that I'm not the only whose mind jumps around like a flea on coke. You and I must have hatched from the same nest.

I can eat anything. My doc said that's the point, the band should allow you to eat like a normal person with the emphasis on portion control. I can't eat as much as I used to before banding and I chew very thoroughly. I don't try to eat steak for breakfast but I've never been a breakfast person anyway. I seem to have hit a plateau between 174 and 176. At this point, I'm pretty convinced I need to really start an exercise program to get the weight moving again.

I've been wondering about it since the first weigh in.

You said it, sister! Wow, miss a couple of days and it took me an hour to catch up on all the postings. SMS - I said this before, but it bears repeating: dump the bf and live it up a little. You know you are dying to, you're just afraid and insecure. Once you let go of the fear, you will love your freedom. Ebony - congrats on the new size! Kids - my DD is still a perfect angel at 8 but my DS can be a real pain (15). They both get allowances and they aren't necessarily tied to chores but I have the option of taking the allowance away when they get out of line. Anyway, DS got really out of line about a month ago so I "fired" him. I said "You're fired!" He just looked at me like I was out of my mind. I told him if he was at work and talked to his boss that way, he'd be fired and out on his ass. My thought process is that I'm trying to prepare him for the real world. Anyway, he hasn't had his allowance since that time and he's been on his best behavior and has offered to do extra chores in the hopes of being "rehired." NOW PJTP: Mob Wars: I hate it when wimps resort to putting you on the hitlist 'cause they can't win in an actual fight and after I keep regenerating and keep kicking their asses, they offer a truce. HAH! You put me on that list asshole, I will be on your ass for the rest of your freakin' life!

Tonight's show didn't suck. I felt bad for Brown Team's brother. Hopefully his brother will inspire him to lose. I was surprised that their Mom was fit and attractive. Usually, in a family of large people, the Mom is large too. It was amazing at how far all of the contestants have come since their first day.

Yeah, in this economy and with all the layoffs, sometimes it's best just to sit still. I feel for you with your DD, I dread the day when I have to deal with it with my DD. I love it! There's something about calling someone a pompous ass that is just so satisfying. BTW, I gave up on all threads related to PG -- just not that interested in anything that compels her to prostelize. I can attest to 8 being a perfect age. My perfect DD is 8, too. LOL. I'm not the chastisty police! NONETHELESS, how can you say you are not leading him on when you are going on dates with him? You went flying with him and then to the beach. The next date, he's going to expect you to put out, especially since he gave you a ring.

Come on down! and thank you. Thank you. We haven't gone yet. We have the whole week and I'm a procrastinator extraordinaire! Thank you. You're among friends, it's OK to show us a peek. :lunch: Yeah, yeah. Heard that before... See?1? OK, what does that mean? That's a new one on me.

Awesome! I love it when clothes get too big for me. That feels better than when the scale moves because I know my body is shaping into a thinner version. Karri - your energy and dedication to exercise is awe inspiring and makes me feel ashamed of my laziness.

WTG! :tt2: :tongue2:  Wow, this could be dangerous with the band. I mean when you're sleep eating, you don't have a clue what you're eating and whether you are chewing well enough. You don't want to endanger the band by stretching your pouch or causing a slip. Do you exercise? When I exercise regularly and for at least 45 minutes a day, I find sleep comes very easily.

Well said! Why don't you just go somewhere over the rainbow where everyone is nice? Bless your heart. Ripple dad is disgusting and I have the right to express my opinion wherever and whenever I please. He's the dumb ass that put his nasty ass on national TV. FYI, I've never looked like Ripple dad and never will. Most fat people don't look like Ripple dad. He's a disgusting anamoly. Additionally, he's a bastard and the purple team are equally stupid and disgusting! I agree! Last night's show was a major turn off. Filipe dropped off my fav list. He acted like a total ass. Ripple dad and the purple team acted shamefully. With Mandi gone, I can now hate the entire blue team. If Filipe and Sione now go over to their side, that will complete my mosted hated team perfectly. In case I haven't said this enough, last night's show was a total turn off.

Kimaly, Chantix really helps with the all those physical cravings and the added bonus of making the cigarettes taste like crap if you try to smoke it.

Girl, you are a s l u t, bless your heart. I experiment all the time. My DH seems to enjoy most of it. My DS is a stick but a very healthy eater so will eat most anything. My DD, on the other hand, won't eat anything but PB&J sandwiches, chips, hamburgers and chicken nuggets. We have a rule that she has to take at least one bite of everything at the dinner table and after that if she still doesn't want to eat it, then she can have a PB&J. She did eat mussels and enjoyed them a great deal when we went to Carrabas the other day so maybe she's finally graduating up?

Betrayal is a BITCH
Tina, your parents live next door, right? They can and will help you. You also have a brother within driving distance. Also, everyone's experience is different. Your recovery might not be as difficult as your friends depending on how healthy/fit you are compared to your friend. Also, from what I understand, you can't put any strain on your stomach muscles so instead of using them to get up, you might have to roll out of bed and scooch off your seat. Having something like a walker to help support your weight while you are getting up will probably also help. Call every friend, coworker and acquaintenance and ask them for help. I know it's difficult to ask, but I think you'd be surprised how willing people are to help. You can set up "shifts". Maybe your Mom and Dad can also take turns staying with you during the night.
