Don't worry, you are in what's called Bandster Hell. Bandster Hell is the period of time when the swelling from the surgery has gone down but you haven't yet had sufficient fills to get proper restriction. It may take anywhere between 3-6 fills for you to feel restriction. It took me 4 fills to feel true restriction. As for your friend who vomits at lunch on a regular basis, he's doing this because he's either too tight or he's eating too fast/too much. Gas - unfortunately increased gas seems to be the norm.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. Take it easy and be liberal with the drugs.

I had the underwire bra issue when I was first banded but after a couple of weeks, it didn't bother me anymore and I wear underwire for about 10 hours a day.

I'm sorry if I sounded mean earlier; I was just shocked. Anyway, don't eat or drink anything hot. You should probably just keep drinking icy cold Water. If the gum is stuck on the band, you don't want it to get hot and smear all around. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I think the doc will have to do an x-ray to see whether it's there or if it's passed through.

Their fill policy sucks! If it gets too tough and they are within driving distance, I'd just go in on the days you know the doctor is in doing fills and beg and cry. I bet that would work.

Why such long waits in between? Is this your doctor's requirement? I had to wait 4 weeks for my first fill and then there were no time restrictions. I just self enforced 2-3 weeks between fills because from everything I'd read, it sometimes takes that long for the fill to "settle". I got banded a couple of weeks before you but I got my 4th fill last Tuesday. Have you talked to your doctor's office and told them the problems you are experiencing? If necessary, call them EVERY day. I'm starting to get a little concerned for you Orea as I'm beginning to detect a note of desperation/disgust with the band. Please don't give up. If you want, I will call your doctor's office and gtive them hell.

It really pisses me off that they want to mess with the Constitution to enforce their personal beliefs on others. I wish we would add an amendment to the Federal Constitution to make it unconstitutional to amend the Federal Constitution or the Constitution of any state which infringes upon personal choice issues INCLUDING abortion. As long as you marry who you want and abort your babies on your time and on your dime, it's none of my freakin' business. That's why I DON'T want liberals to make our government more touchy/feely or the conservatives to take us back to Victorian prudishness. Just leave people alone!!!!!

I did not keep my WLS a secret. I didn't send out a broadcast but if anyone asked, I told them. One of the reasons I told was that I want people to find out through me, not through gossip and speculation. The truth will out... All that aside, people can be incredibly obtuse.

Hi shrinknme. My weight loss has been on a similar path as yours. Keep the faith with me. I'm sure once we get adjusted and the right amount of fill, the weight will start to come off.

Thanks for your post LIL and I agree Oprah always looks lovely. I mean who wouldn't with an unlimited wardrobe, makeup artist, hair stylist, etc.? The question wasn't do you think Oprah is lovely? The question was do you think she's given up on weight loss? I decided to have WLS when I finally admitted to myself that I needed medical intervention.

Off Topic - I think bodily functions are gross, too. EXCEPTION - I never thought my children's secretions were gross or stinky when they were infants. Moms just think their kids sh*t don't stink.
