That's great Orea! Nothing is worse than hunger. When you're hungry, it distracts from everything.

Joiful, please don't go away again. I know you might be a bit upset right now but everyone here means well and we all want to see you succeed. Stay on this journey with us, even if you feel like going it alone. It really does help to have support both positive reinforcement as well as constructive criticism.

July Butterflies Master Thread
Great news! I plan on starting the 5 Day Pouch test next Monday and getting back to exercising today! I had to lay off the exercise to rest my knee for a couple of weeks but those couple of weeks turned into a couple of months. I really need to get back into the swing of things. Before I go back to the doctor for a 5th fill, I'm going to do the 5 Day Pouch test to see if that helps. I really don't want to be overfilled to the point I start turning to slider foods. I think that's a slippery road.

WHY are people voting for McCain?
The video wasn't working so I couldn't see it. It's amazing what people will do to cope with differences. I guess it's better to come up with ways to cope than to simply destroy something that is strange and unfamiliar because of fear and ignorance.

Notice to all employees (post-election)
I have been a strong McCain supporter for well over 10 years so I was disappointed with his loss yesterday and felt really bad for him personally. However, we now have a new President Elect and we must all rally together and be ONE America. Remember, "United we Stand, Divided we Fall." Even if you can't embrace Change, I know you can embrace Hope and Optimism.

Change can be a good thing... Change can be a bad thing... I've decided to embrace Hope!

WHY are people voting for McCain?
Australian cultural anthropologist Sharyn Graham Davies explores a culture that recognizes five distinct genders in her book "Challenging Gender Norms: Five Genders Among the Bugis in Indonesia" (2007). These include makkunrai (feminine woman), calabai (feminine man), calalai (masculine female), oroané (masculine man), and bissu (embodying both male and female energies, revered as a shaman). Wow... but it makes perfect sense.

I have 4.5 ccs in an 8 cc band. I don't think I'm ready for another fill but I need something to get myself back on track. After TOM leaves, I'm going to try the 5 Day Pouch Test.

WHY are people voting for McCain?
There's a difference between giving to charity and giving to the Government. I happily donate to charity as do my very young children. We're all a bunch of softies in our household when it comes to the needy. I don't consider paying taxes a charitable event. I pay taxes because if I don't, I go to jail. If I were given an option of paying $50,000 in taxes or giving $60,000 to a charity of my choice, I'd happily give $60,000 to charity. I'm not saying I'm against helping others, I'm saying I'm against giving my money to someone else to decide how that money should be spent. I want a choice in how my money is spent. I understand that for practical reasons, that won't work very well in a Republic the size of the USA; however, the less I pay in taxes, the more discretionary funds I have to give to charity and support my facvorite organizations.

What aliens are you hanging out with? Are you sure they're Americans? I can personally say that I've NEVER been happy about paying taxes, ever, at any salary. I can personally say I've never met anyone who was happy about paying taxes. I have friends and associates of all income levels and none of them were EVER happy about handing their money over to Uncle Sam. I start stressing mid March about April 15.

How much have you lost July Butterfllies??
I have been planning on doing this but wanted to wait until after TOM left because it's too difficult to be on any kind of diet while my TOM is visiting.

Many relationships end because people realize the first sentence too late after engaging too much in the second sentence.

Are We ready for a Black President?
Clinton haters still hate Clinton after all these years and Bush haters will still hate Bush 8 years from now. Thankfully, most people don't think, breathe and feel political in their every day lives so once the election is over, I think the heightened sense of anger and frustration will also abate somewhat.

Next year I am SO waiting until 2 hours before Trick or Treaters show up to buy candy. I've had that candy in here since Saturday (Costco shopping) and have dipped my hand in the bag at least a couple of times a day EVERY day since.

Thanks LJM. It was my attempt to answer the OP's question re: how are we going to create unity after the election? We all have one uniting factor here so I just wanted to remind everyone here that for all our differences, we all have something in common as well.
