  1. At the risk of sounding desperate and repetitious -- I want you to join my mob!
  2. I get all gooey thinking about vampires. :tt1: I've only just started reading Twilight so the jury is still out on whether he's gooey material. he he
  3. What if it's a vampire?
  4. Brad, LJM, Tap and Beth:
  5. Good morning all. Working from home today with sick DD. She's got a terrible cough but no temperature so hopefully she'll get better soon. speechless...
  6. I'm still riding that plateau... I have not been drinking nearly enough water either so I'll focus on that and try to get in at least 6 glasses a day.
  7. Wow Fanny! Welcome back and with such momentous news. Good luck with the house and the move-in.
  8. I don't know about cussing, but I slapped my doctor when I was giving birth to my son 15 years ago. She reported me as hostile and a potentially violent mother. The hospital refused to release my son to go home with me until my dad (my then hubby was stationed in Turkey and since the baby was early, didn't make it to the birth) threatened to call the MPs (military hospital) and accuse the hospital of kidnapping. They released the baby within 15 minutes. WTG! Orgasm helps with EVERYTHING! Right? I find this annoying also as I want to compare my progress with others. Even though I know I shouldn't, I can't help myself and I usually come out with the short end of that stick. My weight loss to date has been a snail's pace. Same to you! Ditto! Remember, curb the urge to slap the doctor!
  9. Carrie, it sounds like you gave yourself an assignment... send me the link to the new thread. :tt2:
  10. There are literally hundreds of posts on LBT about the fluctuations of the tightness of the band. Our bodies react to everything that happens to us. I've seen many posts where people say sometimes the tightness fluctuates several times a day. If you feel loose for 2 weeks straight, then it's probably time for a fill but be careful not to overfill (I know you've read the numerous posts on here abuot what being too tight can lead to).
  11. I second that. Just cause you join the mob, doesn't mean you actually have to play. You can be members of several mobs. My DH is also a member of my mob (because I made him do it) but he never plays it. I am in desperate need of 2 more mobsters so that I can do a bank job -- c'mon people, come join my mob, damn it! OK, OK, I beginning to lose it, I think. See what you made me do people? You made me go all gangsta on ya.
  12. Same here - don't do sleep meds but have very vivid dreams
  13. I need 3 more for now. I've been springing the invite on unsuspecting new "friends".
  14. I think she directed that comment to Plain but I felt helpful so I put in my 2 cents.
  15. Just accept my mob invite and you'll be good to go - WARNING - it is highly addictive.
  16. Sick - do the 5 Day Pouch Test - the first 2 days consist of liquids and if you are as tight as you feel, then it's a breeze to do it and the added bonus is most people lose 3-6 lbs at the end of the 5 days.
  17. Beth quit picking on Plain long enough to become a member of my mob - then you can pick away all you want. Plain - U 2!
  18. Everyone must be on FB tonight.
  19.:thumbup::thumbup: Tomorrow is Friday and you did say you wanted him to hold out until then. Will he be considered full term or will he need an incubator?
  20. I recall watching 20/20 or a show similar to that in which they actually measured the brainwaves of people who were "speaking in tongues" vs. how their normal brain waves function at any other time. Much to my surprise, a different part of the brain lit up when they were "speaking in tongues." This can be interpreted in many ways but one thing is clear, when people are "moved by the spirit" they seem to ascend to a different level of awareness.
  21. I guess that's either a perversion of an attempt to enforce the Bible's teaching against vanity and/or to ensure women don't lure men into the sin of lust. Either way, it's an attempt to take away free will which to me sounds way more sinful.
  22. The support group I went to a couple of times right after banding discussed this very topic. It seemed the substitute addicition of choice for this group was alcohol. I had no idea giving up overeating could lead to substitute addictions prior to people discussing it at the support group meeting. I think LBT must be my substitute addiction.
  23. When I read the title, my initial thought was "Wish I had the last 10 years back so I can do it again with the band." Needless to say, I think it's well worth it and would do it again. I don't look back and have any regrets about anything because my journey in life thus far is the reason why I'm where I'm at today and it's a very happy place.
