  1. CoolCrystal - so happy to see your post. I miss your posts.
  2. R U talking about me again?
  3. Babygirl, how come you're not a member of my mob? Do you need me to send Beth to raid you?
  4. Maggie, I'm concerned you are PBing quite a bit. That's the first indication that either you're too tight or you are eating too fast. Frequent PBing can lead to band slippage/erosion. I had nightime episodes of reflux (not burning just icky) for 2 weeks straight (2 months after the last fill) but no other indication that anything was wrong. I could eat and drink anything during the day and had no issues at all. One night it was so gross it made me throw up bile for 1/2 the night. I got myself directly to the doctor and he said I was too tight and took out .5 cc and that cured it immediately. Luckily no damage had been done. I asked why I got tight all of a sudden 2 full months after the last fill and he said it was probably because of stress. He said tightness can fluctuate weeks even months after the last fill so you have to listen to your body.
  5. Good morning ladies. Denise, I hope your test goes well. Don't forget to join my mob before your test (just in case). LOL just kidding, but seriously, join my mob.
  6. Of course it's about you, and you, and you, and you...
  7. You know it's not the sun. At his age, he doesn't want to be relocated and he doesn't want to be a burden on you. He's already lost so much--it's too much to ask him to lose his bearings and his pride. Didn't realize you were engaged. What happened to making him move out? Did he dazzle you with diamonds?
  8. It was a general post that popped into my head one afternoon when I noticed that some posters simply seem to have disappeared into thin air. I was hoping if they ever came cruising by they'd find this thread and explain why they don't post anymore. Also, it is rather thought provoking... Anyone here feeling a bit guilty for overlooking someone or conversely, feeling overlooked?
  9. 1Day, you're doing great. My progress is similar to yours and when I went to see my doc last Thursday, he said he felt I was doing good and pretty much on target. We'll get there.
  10. You're in! You're in! Now let's go kick some A$$
  11. BooBoo - remember, it's all in the attitude. You resolved to have a great attitude so I'm holding you to it. Hugs all the same. Beth - that sucks about the job, now come join my mob so you can kick some ass. Lulu - I'm not very close to my mom but the thought of losing her makes me want to crawl into a deep cave and curl up in a fetal position. Enjoy your visit with your Mom.
  12. Happy Birthday! Good to hear you are safe. At least do a drive by once in a while so we know you haven't 1) been swallowed up by the bowels of hell; and 2) forgotten all about us (after all, it is all about us, isn't it?)
  13. Happy Birthday! Today's 50 is yesterday's 40. How do I ping you?
  14. Phyl - yes, I could eat steak, pork and chicken. The only thing I could not do was gulp cold liquids. It severely impacted my ability to get in the necessary amount of water every day but as long as I sipped it went down fine. Since the .5 unfill though, I've had no reflux at night but my appetite is fierce and I'm struggling with portion control.
  15. LizzieBorden, you haven't eaten your dad and stepmom, have you?
  16. Isn't the closet cleaning great? I did the same thing this weekend. I got rid of several items that were too big and was thrilled to find that several of my wonderful suits fit me again. For work I tend to dress in classic, conservative suits that don't go out of style but are expensive so I have several different sizes in my closet.
  17. OMG, I did not realize there were so many fatalities. I'm sorry for sounding so flip about it earlier. I honestly didn't mean any disrespect by it.
  18. Nuh Uh. You are not a member of mob. Were you hitting that wine again? Seriously, you are not a member of my mob so something must have gone wrong. I sent you a new request so go accept away...
  19. No, you didn't accept my Mob request. Maybe you accepted someone else's. You have to accept each person's request. You can be a member of more than one mob. So, go out and accept my mob wars invitation. Lulu, you're good. Love ya!
  20. Sounds like hell. You fry, drown and then are raided upon. OK, all you folks join my Mob or else I'll have Beth raid you! OK, I know I'm not even making any sense anymore.
  21. Hi Joiful. It's good to see you back and posting again. I've been thinking of you and hoping you'd be back posting. I'm sorry you're struggling with the sweet cravings. I get those too from time to time but usually I can just ignore it. I find if I given in to it and tell myself that I'll just have a bite, I end up having a LOT more than just a bite so I just have to avoid them altogether. How's your weight loss progress so far? As you can see, mine's been slow but I'm learning to be OK with it. I get an occasional NSV and that really helps me get over the depressing thoughts that this band isn't working quite as well or quite as fast as I had anticipated.
  22. Lots of hugs your way Tina. Stay strong in your resolve to pursue happiness. My sis and her husband separated last year after 27 years of marriage. They were 20 when they married. Anyway, he was in the Army and was gone more than he was home. After he retired my sis thought she'd get a "buddy" to do things with but it didn't turn out that way. I don't know that there is anyone to blame but they were simply no longer suited to each other. Unfortunately, after 3 to 4 months of separation, the loneliness and fear made my sister take her husband back. They are still just as ill suited to each other. My sis is very outgoing and loves to solcialize whilst my BIL is introverted and his favorite activity is tinkering around with computers. Even though he said he'd make more of an effort to join her in socializing, the truth is that he only does so reluctantly and finds her obnoxious. She resents him for making her feel like she has to drag him out of the house and watch everything she says or does so that he won't criticize her for being too loud, opinionated, etc. I love them both dearly. He's been part of my family since I was 10. I think they're both right and I think they're both wrong. Bottom line, they love each other, they have 2 adult sons, they built a life together and don't have a life outside of each other; however, they don't belong together. They are not compatible and they are making each other miserable but they don't know how to be apart. It's a sad, sad situation.
  23. I hate suprise drop ins too but if they are a favorite, much loved relative, then they get a "Get out of Jail Free Card".
  24. Do you have any updated pics? It really helps motivate me.
  25. It's liquid coming back up from your stomach/pouch into your throat. In some cases it burns but in my case, it didn't burn at all, it was just gross.
