Guests, I lurked for a while and was unsure whether I should jump into the fray since I was banded in July '08 but they've welcomed me with open arms so come jump in -- the water's fiiiiiiiine!

Sure, but I'm certain Lulu's MIL would be more than happy to support her through her trial and sentencing! Listen to us--we've already got Lulu locked up and behind bars!

shrnknme - Regardless of what the scales say, if you look good, that's better than any number on some idiotic machine. Yes, I am mad at my scale again because it's refusing to give up that .5 lb so that I can take my progress pic. I had the surgery at 213 and have been taking progress pics at every 10 lb drop. I really thought I'd be taking my 3rd progress pic over the weekend, but nooooooo, the scale won't cooperate!

Ahhhhh, thanks all for your postive thoughts. I can feel the fat melting.

How much have you lost July Butterfllies??
Donna113 replied to lotzasunshine's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Wow! What a faboo weight loss! You lost 80lbs in 5 1/2 months! How can you justify beating yourself up? There is no limit to the number of fills you are supposed to have - you get filled when you feel you need it based on the amount of solid food you can ingest. I don't think we will ever get that "full" feeling again after being banded like we did before. But before being banded, for me I didn't feel full until I was nearly exploding so I probably didn't understand full before either. My doc says, stop eating when you are no longer hungry (not when you are full). He says if you chew thoroughly (at least 20 times per bite) and stop eating after 20 minutes, then your feeling of hunger should go away. These days, more often than not, after 10 minutes of eating, I lose interest in the food and stop. -
Sadie, you think Oprah's reading this thread?

ER - here's to hoping you can get off your Diabetic meds soon!

I say there is no cheating once you've been banded, EVER! You only cheat if you are on a diet and since we're not dieting but changing our lifestyle we just have to remember everything in moderation and choosing to eat something that's not healthy once in a while is OK. There's your Christmas present from me! Merry Christmas!

Her personal chef and personal trainer don't seem to be getting the job done, so while I'd love to have both, I wouldn't want hers. You know her personal trainer must cringe every time he sees her on TV since it's not the best advertisement to have your best customer gaining instead of losing.

I confess I'm very frustrated because the scale won't show me 183! I started at 213 on day of surgery so I've been taking progress pics at every 10 lb loss and it's ticking me off that my body is stubbornly holding on to that .5 lb! Everyone, please send positive energy flows my way focusing on those pounds melting off. If you all do it, I know the fat won't stand a chance!

2 Days out and starving...help
Donna113 replied to angel43072's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, only 600 liquid carolies a day? I'm sorry, it must be very tough but hang in there because the band is so worth it! -
The only white I like are the sweet ones from Germany--they're like dessert in a glass.

I confess that I don't understand how anyone with WLS cannot be a compulsive weigher. I weigh myself when I wake up, every time I use the bathroom and right before going to bed. This causes me to strip several times a day since I won't weigh myself with any clothes on. Good thing there isn't a scale in the office, else, I might have a lot of explaining to do!

2 Days out and starving...help
Donna113 replied to angel43072's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mirand, why did they have to stop and will they try to enter back into the same cuts they already made so you don't end up with 12 scars? -
Because it's so cold here in Houston - only 38 degrees and there was a possibility of precipitation, I opted to work at home in my warm PJs today. Yes, you may throw virtual snowballs at me. He he

Post a link here to your myspace page. I'm not on myspace so don't know if I can view it.

Times have changed... When I had my 15 year old and 8 year old, the OB said it was OK to have an occasional glass of red wine. Guess better safe than sorry--so, I drank a whole bottle this weekend in your honor. he he

If you look for the good in people, you will find it. Likewise, if you seek the bad, you will never be disappointed.

Said perfectly!

If Jachut can pose in a bikini, you should be able to show some abs.

What's wrong with Lopez? Isn't this her 4th marriage? I guess she's trying to give Taylor a run for her money.
