The one thing I don't like about MFP is it do not give you more options for serving size. I did ww and I have to say it was wonderful in allowing you to specify an amount. For example the regular serving size for crab meat is 1/2 cup. I only consumed a tablespoon, it does not allow me to change to a tablespoon, only 1/2 cup, 1 cup, or the container. 7. Today marks my one week banding. After being banded I felt pretty good besides the shoulder pain. That pain quickly subsided and I had (have) the stomach gas and pressure. I walked and moved every time I felt it getting worse and that helped ease the pain. But gradually it appears to be getting worse. My stomach cramps and I have frequent bms which I think is related to the gas pressure (this is without any Fiber assistance). I originally thought it was due to the Celebrex and lack if food, but it seems that is not the case. Instead of it easing up or getting better, it seems to be getting worse. Walking is not helping, it makes it worse, Pepcid is not helping. I'm getting frustrated because I took a week off thinking the gas would be receding by now. I am just getting frustrated because of this pain!!! Did anyone have these problems after being banded? Please let me know this is apart of the process and it WILL get better!! Sorry to sound whiny, but I'm just feeling really bad right now!! Current pre-op wt 344 down 331.6

    Mushies ah heaven!

I ate so slow I felt like I was going in slow motion!! LOL, I was so happy and did not want it to end. Eventhough it was a small basic meal, it was soooo good just to chew and taste cooked food other than soup again.

    Two days Post Op

I have a generic brand and it is too gritty and thick! It bothered my stomach so I will look into the Miralax.

    Two days Post Op

It was hard in the beginning, but I knew I could not eat that food. I think fear played a factor too! My husband took off this week and I joke with him saying he purposely is eating like a king this week because he know I can't eat with them! LOL, I really just tried not to think about the food too much and the smell did affect me, but then I was thinking I am only thinking about that food because I know I can't have it.

Honestly, it was not that bad for me until I knew it was time for my mushy stage. Best thing, is to try NOT to think about not eating regular food. I think it makes it worse.

    Mushies ah heaven!

I cant eat more than 1/2 cup of food. I eat my meal out of a 1/2 cup container. I have learned how to master what I put in those containers. I have layered and "casseroled" my meal in those containers to get my meat and veggies. For instance, tomorrow I am going to have sweet potatoes and chicken

My nutrionist told me to start early chewing slow. i set the timer on my phone for 23 mins. and at first it seemed unreasonable to do, but now it is realistic.
