Thank you! I am determined to break 190 and I am now reading all labels and counting sugars. Since I have erratic insulin issues and I am on Metformin, Sugar is quite the enemy. I have a new hop in my step and this is just a hiccup!

Got my 2nd fill today and had a major rude awakening! No weightloss!! So I revamped my fridge and definately seeking better choices. I am stumped admitted to my Doc. That I am having a hard time eating 3 meals a Day and am doing 1- 2 meals only. He kinda scoled me but bottom like he said I am maintaing due to my body going into storage mode. I hope this month is better.

Polycistic Ovarion Syndrome Ladies?
My Ob took me off metformin just to see what happens. I put myself back on it and it definately messes with your stomach if you are not taking it consistantly. I also am in loEstrin 24 birth-control. I find I retain alot if water and I'm always bloated. The inches lost is evident but scale is just sitting at same weight for a month and a half now.

6 weeks out and weight loss?
Im definately becoming discouraged... Im 12wks post op and about to have a 2nd fill tomorrow. I measure my meals, avoid snacking and even sometime have to remind myself to eat 3 xs per day. But I also have Pcos which made weightloss initially a battle. Just hoping I dont disappoint my surgeon tomorrow! #HateToFail#

HELP! PLEASE & THANK YOU!
Same thing happened to me i was denied my 1st fill and had to wait till i was 2 months post op. i lost 5 lbs in 1 month and since my fill still no weight loss. Im embarrassed and go for my 2 nd fill monday. I want this to work so bad! I measure my meals and drink tons of water. I allow myself my coffee and low fat flavoured creamers. But i don't always get in 3 meals i believe due to stress. I am hoping for a fill and i will continue to work hard. Is this common to not have weight loss during first 3 months?

Polycistic Ovarion Syndrome Ladies?
So I'm a Pcos Bandster and I am 3months post op this week. I was on 500ml metformin 2xs daily but since my surgery my Obgyn advised me to stop the metformin and see what happens. I have had 2 normal cycles. Im down 25 lbs but have been stuck for a month with no weight loss!!! My 2nd fill is monday but I am soo worried that I'm not losing just Maintaining. I was always good at taking off 20 lbs or then just maintaining. I measure my meals and drinks tons of water. Not to mention my side affects of PCOS are back like facial hair and hair loss. I need advice...

I wasn't able to get the fill due to my employer not releasing me for the day. So here I go scheduled for tomorrow. I am soo excited still not losing just plateaued! I'm trying to not be negative i don't feel as hungry and sometime have to remind myself to eat. With that being said, I still would hope to be losing since my lifestyle is changing. I am definately not the same person mentally and have a new respect for food. I hope this change becomes evident soon! Over all down 25 lbs since 12/9/12..

Those are great words!!! I woke up this morning and my scale hasn't changed much but my image in the mirror has. I can see my belly area is a lot smaller and I'm really showing loss in inches. This made me feel more positive!

Doctor filled band half full during surgery
Yes 850.. I do feel the hunger pains. I'm down 20 since surgery dec 7th. But I was always good at dropping 10-20 lbs. I want this to work. I'm not doing any bread that seems to give me trouble. My BFF who had it was honest and said she hadn't really changed her eating habits and the fix gave her a fill. I do zucchini lots of green veggies to stay low carb.. And try to have good protein amount daily. Maybe your right the calorie intake is too low.

Still not losing just down 20 which I was always good at losing in the past. My doc kinda rushed me through the 1month post op and wouldn't give me a fill even though I wanted one badly. I mentioned I had a tiny bit of trouble with a piece of beef. I am trying daily and drinking alot water. I'm still hungry....

... I was banded the 7th. I was losing a pound a day it seemed and now as I introduce solids no weightloss. I'm down almost 18 lbs total. Should I be worried? I've always been good at losig 5-10 lbs then that's all! Gonna have my 1st fill in Jan. Just feeling discouraged..its been 5 days and no weight change.

anthem bluecross hra/fsa
So I had tons of questions and called like once a week. I started my venture on Oct. 5th 2012 and was approved by Nov. 13th. I had no co morbidities but anthem stated 35 BMI with at least 2 co morbidities or _40 BMI with NO co morbidities. I was right at 40bmi. I hadn't met my deductible so all my office visits were about $ 90 most costly was the psych visit and the nutritionist which were not covered by my ins. My Hra applied $1000 towards my deductible and exhausted my Hsa. But once I was told I needed to have my gallbladder removed out patient, that procedure made me hit out of pocket 4k max and my 2k deductible. Since my charges are still pending I'm not sure what was covered at 100%. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I had surgery on Dec 7th 2012 and learned anthem works fast! Granted you have met all of the qualifications. I however learned not only must you meet the deductible, you have to meet the Out of pocket expense max in network as well. Which is in my case $4000.00 for the 80% to kick in. I did thank God! Since I needed to have my gallbladder removed prior to lapband surgery. I paid day of surgery $205.00 and the hospital submitted a claim for 34k which is still pending so I have no clue what my out of pocket will be for the hospital. My lapband was also robotical and was at a max price of 10k which was the going price at my surgeon's office and was also enter of excellence required.

So I called my nutritionist about what can be eaten today which is day 7 for me. The book I have been given by my surgeon's office says no pureed foods..it says soft foods on 7 thru 14. I attempted ti have small very small amount of tuna light mayo as a suggested recipe in the book. I took one bite and felt like I was going to DIE! After 20 mins of intense pain in my chest and upper back I went back to liquid. I had a big scare and I'm not ready for tuna yet. But I was told to introduce small amounts. I will try again tomorrow.

Bless your heart! I know its tough but for the sake of healing you may have to weed out the gatherings. Remember its not so much that you are not obeying the post op diet if you happen to cave in. It's the damage that can be done during your healing time. Your band is sutured to you and there is scar tissue. This area needs to heal and not be obstructed by any vomiting or heavy digesting that your system just isn't ready for. This could create long term damage. Be strong you can get through it and its ok to decline the invite. This is for you! It's your time!

Getting Hungry
I too am on my 1st week post op I eat and feel uncomfortable but my stomach is growling something awful throughout the day. I ignore it and stick to my liquid diet but still feel like I'm not understanding my body. How did it turn out for you after all? Any thoughts I'm sure would help.
