  1. Had my first fill, said it was like a primer, only had 2-3 cc inside me... I've lost 2.5 more pounds since last week!!!! I'm down a total 30+ pounds and that was with no fill!!! It took 3 tries to find my port, it didn't hurt at all!!!! I can't wait to see the pounds melt off!!!' I'm loving my new life!!!

  2. Sooo, I went to my dr, just to follow up since my surgery and when I stepped on that scale I couldn't believe what I saw...I'm down a total of 36 pounds since August!!!! My first fill was supposed to be this week but, got rescheduled for this Thursday... I'm still nervous about the fill, will I be in pain, discomfort?? Can I do normal things like exercise? Myfitnesspal helped me sooo much..

  3. Sooo, I'm due for a fill next week, and for the past few weeks I've noticed I have been going to the bathroom with diarrhea. Today all I had was a turkey sandwich on a wheat pita (only ate half) tummy started bubbling hours later and I was in the bathroom. I've had nothing else to eat, I ate a sugar free Popsicle??? Is this normal? Is my tummy still adjusting???? I soo want a ginger ale but can't have one!!!! What do I do??? I've went 3 times today...( sorry to be gross)....

  4. I would call the doctor or nurse to make sure that everything is ok. If you take a laxative make sure you take a stool softener, you don't want to strain anything. I didn't go poopy for about 8 days but, my surgeon explained it to me and that I will need a laxative... Call your doctor/nurse....

  5. My cycle has been all wicky wacky since I started this journey. Once the weight is lost things will be on track, but if you still have questions ask your doctor..

  6. I am a type II diabetic also, I started on metformin then I was told too start insulin. This plus high blood pressure and cholesterol too. Since my surgery ( 10/18) my blood sugars have been stable, I still have to watch what I eat. My cholesterol has improved. Make sure you monitor your blood sugar, take them 4 times a day. Also are you eating anything with sugar or a lot of carbs? If its still an issue there are other options than metformin. Good luck to you!!!!

  7. Thank you!!!! I'm still a little nervous. I have a job fair scheduled to go attend later in the afternoon. Will I be ok to walk around for maybe 30-45 minutes? Or will I be uncomfortable, or just go home and relax for awhile. Does the band size determine how much your full will be??? I love this site, it feels like no matter the question someone is always there and I love and appreciate that!!!!

  8. It's official it has been one month since my surgery, October 18, 2012!!!! I go for my first fill on November 28, I'm a little scared and anxious at the same time.... I have not been on a scale since I went in for a follow up a week after my surgery. Should I be concerned if I've gained weight, I feel as though I have lost a few more pounds.... I still have some discomfort where my port is...
