Lab results today - so happy! Cholesterol went from 201 to 185, and A1C (diabetic) went from 7.7 to 6.2 (off all meds)! This makes up for the 3 week weight plateau I've been on.

Waited and waited for puree diet so I could eat scrambled eggs...what a disappointment! They were so delicious, at first, but having to eat so slowly, they are stone cold by the time I was a quarter finished! Blah!

11 days post-op, fresh new (bloody) drainage from one of my sites...waiting for a call back. Due to have staples out Wednesday. Hmmm...

Day 10 post-op, and finally, pain is subsiding and now I'm just feeling "sore"! I can handle sore! lol!

I've noticed my back really aching the last couple of days. My abdominal incisions are finally starting to ease up in terms of pain, but now my back? Has anyone else experienced back pain after surgery?

Feeling so good about this decision! Still sore, but so happy! Can't wait to attend my first support group meeting! Thanks to everyone for being so supportive. This site is wonderful!

Still in pain, post op day 5. One dose of pain medication left and I'm out. Anyone else still in pain on Day 5? I have no refills and was just wondering if it is because I should be feeling better by now? Thanks!!

Oatmeal Heaven! Ahhhh....I am post op day 2, and my wonderful surgeon said in addition to the liquid diet, I could add cream of wheat and oatmeal. This normally bland oatmeal has never tasted so heavenly!!!! I am on cloud 9 right now.

Help! Was losing so well before surgery! I had lost a total of 17 lbs. Now, one day post off, I have gained 7.5 pounds. I know it is probably from swelling and IV fluids, but it is so discouraging. Did anyone else experience this and if so, did the extra pounds come off in a few days? Thanks for any info!!!

Surgery tomorrow! So nervous yet excited! How painful is recovery? I have a two year old at home...yikes!
