  1. :DCongrats to everyone

    :D

Everyone seems to have some great loss. Slow and steady for me. I just had my 1st fill Wed. Got a 3.5 CC fill in my 10 CC band. It was time. I'm down 53 lbs. My body has gotten used to my workouts, so I have recently started CrossFit.... and WOW, am I feeling that! It's definitely a challenge, but I want to gain the muscle to help burn the fat while I'm at rest. Agg, waiting for the scale to move again. My body seems to like to let weight go around specific times of the months... weird! but other then that, feeling pretty good. But I feel like I won the first 50 pound battle and now it;s time for the last 55 lbs WAR! Bring it on

  2. I agree. I have been through a similar issue with my Doc. I have a 10CC band and started with no fill. I just have a 10 week check in and I am loosing weight at about the same rate you are. From what I understand, if we are working out harder you are going to eat more and eat slightly larger portions due to the amount of calories burned. You should not be fully replacing all the calories that you burn. However, as the previous bandsters have stated, This journey is not about restriction.

You have already made some amazing changes in your diet and with the addition of exercise, you are getting awesome results. Just know that either way that you choose, this is your journey. However, I don't think that you are at that phase yet. I would save the fill for when your weight loss really slows or your body starts to not respond to your workouts.

Either way, Cheers to your journey and your accomplishments so far.

  3. Blue Diamond has many different types. I have been a huge fan of the unsweetened chocolate and the unsweetened vanilla milks. Both are great for Stage 2 and you are able to mix them with so many different types of Proteins. They help bring back some of the normal feelings while on Phase 2.

Hang in there and this time will go quickly. Cheers to your recovery.

  4. I work out about 6 days a week and burn at least 3,500 cal per week. I find myself starving on some days even though I am over 120 grams of Protein. I have had no fills and am about 9 weeks post op. I think that it might be time for a fill but I will be asking my DOC and NUT when I go in a week.

    I feel your food pain.

  5. Feb Bandsters, Thank you for everyone who has shared here so far. I know some of us are feeling discouraged, stuck or unhappy in our results so far. However, remember, this journey is not about comparisons or who gets to their goal first. It's about you, your journey and how you are going to live your lifestyle. Wether you use the band as a tool, for restriction or fill it to the max, this journey is 100% about you. Stick with your NUT and Doc, follow the tips for WLS and even though we are going to struggle, we will all loose. If you haven't joined MFP to track your food or exercise motivation, please look me up at Fabricwife. I would love to help motivate and give support whenever possible.

For Bandsters that have been loosing successfully... WAHHOOOO! It feels amazing to wake up a little bit lighter everyday. Cheers to all your hard work, planning and exercising that has gotten you there so far. I plan on posting my first 8 weeks post op today. Please share your journey with me! I would love to see us all succeed together.

    Cheers Everyone. :D

  6. I too was banded on 2/14. I have not needed a fill yet and I have a 10cc band. I am down 34 pounds and are really working for it. I have to say, My Fitness Pal has been a huge tool for me to keep track of everything.

It sucks that restriction isn't feeling successful, but your weight loss so far in amazing! You should be proud of what you have accomplished so far. Hopefully your next fill is amazing for you.

Overall, WLS and LB, the best thing I have EVER DONE TO INVEST IN MYSELF. Cheers to all our success so far and to many, many more. :D

  7. both my NUT and DOC are pro Crystal Light and Mio. As long as you are getting the fluids in and keeping the calories low for the intake, the fact that you are getting the fluids in is the most important. So stock up. If you like it and it works for you, I would split your day 1/2 Water and 1/2 other beverage resouces. Cheers to your success.

  8. I feel your pain on that! I am still so embarrassed at my before and during pictures. I have them, I just don't know if I'm vulnerable enough to share them.

Either way, at least we are making change! Maybe one day, we will feel like we are able to post them up.

  9. The feeling is different for everyone. For myself, I get a very content feeling and after about 20 mins after eat, I feel very satisfied and on the verge of being full. It usually takes me about 20-25 mins to eat. With the addition of a heavy workout plan recently, you might be experiencing what people call "Bandster Hell"

At least your tracking your food and calories. Feel free to add me to your MFP. I am Fabricwife. Would love to have another friend to help share food and exercise with. I hope your fullness changes for you soon. Cheer to all your success so far.

  10. The Lemonade was not my favorite. I had to mix it with Crystal Light lemonade in order to take some of the weird taste away.

The Cappuccino, chocolate Truffle, vanilla Bean Torte, strawberry Mousse, Kiwi strawberry, Fuzzy Navel and Double Stuffed Cookie have all been my fav's. The other few were just not my style but overall , Syntrax is my fav Protein.

Syntrax has a 13 pack on their web site that you can get in order to try the stuff out. Definitely worth it to try it all out.

  11. Hello Everyone,

As some of us are starting to trend on to "band friendly" foods, we are hopefully tracking our food. If anyone is on My Fitness Pal, we should add each other so that we can help stay connected in good behaviors. Plus we can help share food this way and so on. Just another way for us all to loose together and help each other succeed.

My user is fabricwife on My Fitness Pal. Feel free to add me. I would love to stay connected with all the Feb Bansters.

Cheers to our Success and faithful loss. :D

  12. I have never bought the book or heard anything about it. However, there are 2 different online places that I go to get more ideas... Emilysbites.com and LapBandFriendlyReceipes.com. Both are helpful if you are on a Full Regular diet and your Doc has cleared you for regular foods.

    Cheers to idea and food.
