I first I did 5 lb goal and cheered at 10 then at 20 then as I got the hang of it and got my 3 rd fill and now never feel hungry I cheer when the scale has moved down wards. My heart is set at under 200 just 10 lbs to go but I KNOW now I can do it this band helps, and it was the answer for me....get you fills as soon as u can just over half full seems to work for most of us the goal is not hungry for 4-5 hours...I am so excited about how this bsnd works...

wwwwow wowwow -
I go to the good will or other thrift store to keep close that fit because it makes me feel so good that I have lost the 40 lbs and I donate the one that don't fit any more so someone else can do the same. I think it keeps me on my plan when I have close that fit... I just bought 2 pairs of jeans ( for line dancing) for $7.00 very affordable and name brands.

great job and so true. -
try to keep the gas controlled and take lazitive to get that out of there it will help so much...heating pad is a life saver. This part is the worst and we are all there for you..sleep rest, sip as much as possible. I ate a ton of cream soup made with water and of course made my own broth so there was a lot of flavor...you can do this

Question about stages ( how many are there?) I thought there was 3
line-dancer replied to duncanrum's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
maybe the next is 5 FF and 1/2 oz of cake lol never heard of 7 when you find out please share -
not so easy to get to tight specially in the beginning so focus on the size of bite, how long you chew and what u r eating. something that went down just fine yesterday might not today.the average green zon is just a little over half the size of your band so use that as a gage not for everyone of course but most. I have a 100cc band and 6.5 cc and it feels so good as long as I follow the rules...good luck

great job doesn't it feel unreal and wonderful? I just hit the 40 lb mark and know just how you feel best gift ever. keep up the good work

2nd fill in 7 1/2 months
line-dancer replied to Anume 937's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was wondering same thing. I thinking maybe you weren't ready at the time but now are. Let the band work WITH you if you are straving in less the 4-5 hours between measls there is not enough in your band. my doctor will give them every 14 days until it starts to react correctly. I can not eat more and I love that if I do it feels like I just ate Thanksgiving dinner and it was my last really miserable I love that about my band and so glad I did it...keep us infored of your progess we are here to help and share. -
I weight every morning and mark it on my calendar so I can see how many days it tskes to loss. I record the second it goes below the last one I charted on here...lol doctor and most deit places say weight once a week at the same time and on the same scale..

what is considered a full band?
line-dancer replied to stephinfection's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
its the feeling of not being hungry right after you eat. Its great feeling what others who don't have a weight problem feel. Oh I do think sometimes oh I just want that-------but it is so easy to just pass it up I love that. green zones are the best. -

Help that's where I'm at I need help
line-dancer replied to oladad's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
good God give it time and the doctor does not have the right to be mad he works for you.you paid him to help you work this out......get your fill, eat 3 meals aday, track your food and exercise and be good toyourself you will get there. -
I agree with the above post . I was banded in Aug and have lost 40 lb You will not loss weight eating one meal a day, you body need fuel all day long. Get on a tracking program and get on a diet plan of some sort to get started I started with the weight watcher type and went from there. If you eat 1 cup 3 times a day and drink water all day you will loss. Keep us posted and hang in there.

Very confused about lapband and reason for it
line-dancer replied to seeme1954's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
how many times have you gone on a diet and been hungry all the time? You get your fills and never again will you be hungry between meals that the value of the band yet here you are yet again wanting to loss weight...if it happened right off the table no one would be fat and the whole world would have a band. I know this part is very hard but your about due for your first fill and find out how soon u can get another one if you need it my doctor said 2 wks also find out the size of your band mine is 10 cc and has 6.5 cc in it now but the first of the year I am think a touch more would help. Like most of us you will come to love you band more then you Mother....well maybe not that much but a lot....hang in there a new life is so close for you.. -
warm water helps. If you have ever got a pill stuck half way down or a piece of French bread that is what it feels like to me..it will get better but chew better and smaller bites will help in the future but this eill happen again.
