    Who Are You?

Hey you guys, A Big Hello to everyone !!!!!!!!! I am Tanvi, a 24year old Indian who lives in Mumbai and is getting operated on 21st Jan 2013, Monday it is . My Story -- well, I add 209lbs (95kgs) to mother earth's weight,,,i am a doer & God graciously,2012 has been a year when i officially got settled on the career front, got an MBA, got placed on campus & doing what i love.I have been the happy one - people love being around me & im the one who they come to for practical solutions to everything around, but i recently realized that i was always in the "gr8 friend" category but never "the gal" guys date...why was that, wasn't i a good human, why is it that the person who is seen as the "go to" one in terms of help isnt the "one" they date? That's when i realized that the weight hides it all,,but am i ready to let that happen to me -- blah, are u kidding me !!!! --- so the doer in me is all out,to finally & once for all combat the weight monster & kill it for good !!! Who all know about it-- 3gals, 2 at work and a friend, mom-dad stay in another town & i want them & the world to only see the results and not judge me as to how i loose the weight, for i have accepted that working out in the gym will take me down by 6kgs in month 1 ,3kgs in the second & then i will be back to avoiding the gym & 10kgs heavier. I got myself into the hospital today -- been here for 8hours and the liquid diet sucks, its now that it hit me that this isnt going to be easy  but whatever comes easy in life isnt worth it , so go baby go - give me liquid in cups & call it food, what i used as a taster before is now an entire meal So here im, in the battle against weight, help me,as you have helped others, for now, there is no stopping -- its an out & out ,to achieve what i deserve !!!!!!!

    3 weeks and counting!

I have my surgery on monday, started the pre-op diet on thursday,17th Jan. I am from India and we have a lot of religious fastings here, but never in my life of 25yrars have i ever been able to fast, then came 17th Jan 2013 & the head hunger was gone -- point blank, i had veggie stew only in the evening. So keep up the plan, this too shall pass, we are off for a new life folks, it awaits us !!!!
  13. I got my pre-op blood works in yesterday -- everything good except B12, its stuck at 150 when the reference range is 211 - 946 pg/ml. Its been almost a year, i felt extremely tired and couldnot concentrate on things & blamed everything on being fat ...this is when i am 5'4 and 94kgs... Now i know why it was so So, how will the B12 rise, i am having sugery on Monday so what after the surgery?

Does Anyone Make Yogurt @ Home?

Greek is just the concentrated form,, so when you strain home made yogurt the concentrated protein will be left in the cloth after the watery part is strained away, hence more protein. My Nut said, home made yogurt is as good -- infact better, because we can make plain yogurt & mix whatever we wish to have with it at that very moment - wether its vanilla; fruit extract or just pepper.

My Advice To All Newly Post-Op Sleevers...

HI, I am getting a sleeve on 13th dec, i weigh 209lbs,5'5inches tall and 25yrs of age -- i have no help on the gyming front, thus i shall be grateful if you could help me. Me and my parents stay in different cities and i plan to go home to them on 16th Dec, 3days after the surgery and shall be back to my city of work on 31st dec so i will have access to a gym only from 1st Jan 2013. What should be my game plan immediately after the surgery, should i go for long walks twice a day while im back home, my dad goes walking so i will have company too. I also plan to start cycling, how soon will you recommend that, what else should i do in the 3weeks that follow surgery, when i will not have access to a gym.
  23. HI,,I have been through it, infact, just daybefore, when i went to the gym to talk about about my post op detoxing to help surgery recuperation, its the best fitness center in the city & the manager with the counceller made me sit down for good 1.5hrs telling me that i could do it all, 90 pounds insnt too much too loose and i will be out healthy in a year ..who will tell them that i have spent 10 out of my 25yrs on earth trying all that & only when the realization has hit that "I Need an Intervention" , that im going out & getting my stomach cut. They do it because they think we are lazy, afraid of working out & taking an easy way out.....so it is for us to stick to our guts, quash away such thoughts, for comeone, it has already taken us long enough to "accept" that we need it. So worry not, go get it done & then excercise your way to "healthy you"
