  1. I know there's a couple of people on here who got banded by CIBO, maybe you can contact one of them. For me, I never got to speak to the surgeon at CIBO, it was always through the Patient Coordinator. I hope some of those who got banded with them will give you some feedback;)

  2. I had the same issue as you. For me, whether I go with CIBO or SWLC , I would have to pay for my fills/defills, since I'm from Montreal and driving more than 6 hours every time might be a tad ridiculous for me. However, there's something I would like to clear up, both CIBO & SWLC are free for fills/defills when you go to their facility. I chose SWLC for the surgeon and the fact that they have more nurses and physicians trained in other provinces. I'm a travel nurse, so I need that. However, the program for CIBO is awesome and as you mentioned it's a lifetime aftercare. If I could have gotten Dr. Cobourn with CIBO's program, I would have thought I hit the jackpot.Either way whatever decision you make I think it will be a great choice.... I know my post did not help;)

  3. Thx Sojourner, I'm not sure if you are agreeing with me or not;) but even when I conquer ( notice, I say when), I still say that some foods will be like a trigger in my situation, so it's best to eliminate them. For me it's like smoking, if I ever pick up another cigarette, I will not stop, so I avoid them and people who smoke, like the plague. I'm not saying I'm going to stop ALL foods, just the ones that I've seem to loss my mind and in the end, most are empty calories, more for pleasure than nourishment. Wishing us all successful weight loss and maintenance.

  4. Thank you for your story. I'm in the process of getting my lapland surgery done and I was still on the fence on whether I should choose SWLC with Dr. Coburn or another popular clinic. Your story have solidify my choice, since I wanted an exceptional surgeon to do my procedure and great aftercare. I'm sorry you had to go through that experience but also grateful you posted it here. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
