  1. Wow, pierced, sounds similar to mine. I had the Hida scan, but they didn't have all the meds needed for the scan, so it came back normal. The GI doc even said in my notes that due to not a complete scan, my results of normal may not be normal. So tomorrow i go for another scan. This one being about 3 hours. I dont know why they tried the HIDA scan knowing they didn't have the meds to do ot completely, and won't for awhile due to a national shortage. My doc also said in my notes, i need a consult with a gi surgeon....so we shall see. It's just so frustrating, ya know. Thanks for sharing your story...was the surgery to remove it bad, or was it easy prazy?

  2. So, saw a GI, and he ordered a HIDA scan, i get result back tomorrow. Here's hoping something finally comes up.

Oooh, also found out rapid weight loss leads to gallbladder issues, kind of wish i had known before hand. I would still have had the surgery done, but would have not been as shocked when tjese issues started coming up.

  3. Im so sorry about your leak, im a year out and the idea of having one scares me. I am currently in the hospital. Can't keep any food down, barely liquid, came to the ER, stayed 4 days, went home. I was released even though i was still not eating. I was released on the base of all blood work coming back clran, ct scan clesn and ultrasound. Anyhow, 3 days later i end back up here, amd.now working with a GI doc. I just had a HIDA scan done today, becase low and behold, the GI tells me, gallbladder issue run high when you.lose weight quickly and large amounts.

I too wish they would discuss long term complications during your preop interview and procrss.

  4. Take care to yourself......perhaps, you should see another physician,,,? Perhaps, a cardiologist....to see why you are fainting ?How are you Vitamin levels....?Are you able to eat enough....?you need to keep hydrating......with fluids.....stay well and all the best,,,,,,

They said all levels are fine, which is weird, because if i were fine, i wouldn't be here. My CNA said something to me along the lines of getting a second opinion

  5. Ooo, im so sorry, your going through issues too. I hope you get better soon. Thank you for the advice, because that's exactly what they tried to do, i feel so bad, my family is worried and im so weak im fainting, but yet nothing is wrong!?!?!? Makes sense to me a 26 year old female faints to me, and can't keep down...that's normal too.

  6. So, i had ths surgery 14 months ago, no issue. About 3 weeks ago i caught a stomach bug, and have been sick ever since. O can barely keep liquids down, crackefs and nothing else. Ive.been to the ER 2 times and still everything comea back clean Im fainting now, and yet they can give me no reason why. Has anyone elsw gone through this, and what did you find out? Please help, i feel alone, and feel like no one believes me.

  7. I feel like crap a lot...but than I also feel okay a lot of the time. I tend to vomit a lot, Im having acid issues in my baby tummy. Which causes me to feel dizzy a lot and lightheaded. With all of that said, I still wouldnt trade not having the surgery, some days I really miss eating like a normal person, but than I remeber my starting weight and size, and where I am right now, and it replaces the head hunger. Im glad to be getting healthy, even if it means having a baby tummy for life.

  8. I'm going on 3 weeks for a stall. I haven't lost anything. I'm one month out and I struggle eating real food. Almost everything makes me feel like I have to bring it up. I don't know what to eat now. I know I'm not getting enough calories or Protein in. I'm at a loss...

how much are you working out?? Are you really pushing yourself during it? I noticed when I excerise, if its too hard of a workout, I will stall, and than lose a lot the next week. I dance twice a week, and than do a dance tape once a week, along with walking during the day.

  9. Hi everyone. I was sleeved on 1/28. The experience so far is going great. I'm super nervous about potential hair loss' date=' and stalls, and just the mere fact that the Doc said AA women lose slower than any other group. I'm excited to continue this journey though, and reach milestones that I've never felt before such as crossing my legs, or getting to do "normal" things like go to regular sized stores.[/quote']

I think the statement that AA women lose slower is crap, it might just be our choice of food. For example I was sleeved on 1/29 and am already down 28 lbs. Granted I'm still in my liquid phase, so maybe I'm wrong
