My sleeve was 7/26/12 already down 27 lbs..I didn't do any diet prior to surgery actually I ate my behind off. But I have no complaints just ready to start eating again.. I love juices and my cocktails. Can't wait to gulp down a glass of OJ or Bannana juice! Oh yea my only complaint is the gas! I know every doctor is different but how soon can I have a cocktail? My friend makes 4 weeks tomorrow and she had a cocktail already and still end up loosing 3lbs in the following 4 days

I'm looking forward to:
Walking from my car to the jobsite without running out of breath
Climbing the stairs without aching knees
Strut my stuff in some nice jeans with a bad pair of heels
Able to get out the car without making sure everything is covered up and inside where it suppose to be
Dance, laugh and live longer!
2 weeks out now I cant wait to eat some raw oysters and have my 1st cocktail..(dont judge me..)

@jennljhp dont be scared. Is well worth it if you have the best and pray that you are in good hands all is well...speaking from experience. I got approved in a week but schedule my surgery out 1 month because I was 2nd guessing myself but I'm glad I went thru with it becasuse it was time to do something new and that sleeve is the little kick in the a$$ that I needed.

I was sleeved 7/26/12 (tomorrow makes 2weeks) I dont have any complaints. You def have to be head strong..My biggest complaint is the trapped GAS! I'm down 27lbs..my only horror story would be how i'm going to keep all these haters off...because i'm coming into form baby!!

I'm happy for you. I understand you being scared I was also, I kept askig myself can't I just loose weight the normal way because I love to eat. But after I saw the results of my coworkers (almost every women in that building has WLS) I was determined to loose the weight. My daughter gave me her approval and that's all I needed. You Can Do It!!! I had surgery on 7/26/12 started @ 257 now i'm 1 day from 2 weeks and I'm 230lbs. I just can't wait to get to eating some real food and enjoy my 1st cocktail (dont judge me he's still working on me) LOL

LOL..post like this I can appreciate.. Girl my mom and sister came home 3 days after my surgery with some McDonalds. Now let me tell you I love french fries I can eat them everyday. I wanted to take one of those fries and let it marinate in my mouth until it went down like Jello..I cooked last week for my daughter a casserole with chicken and cheese, some got my hand and I didn't hesitate to lick it off.. Oh I can't wait to get hold of some REAL food!

I had my 1st the very next day after surgery. I have plenty of gas and I hate it. everytime I drink my Protein or something cold it gets worse. This is the the worse and my only complaint thus far since getting sleeved.

LOL...I love it you just keeping it real. MEN!!! I haven't experieince that because i'm single but my friend was just talking to me about this yesterday saying her husband wanted sex and she is only 2weeks post op. Look they have to wait until our body get's healed. We already depriving ourselves of the food we love 1 chore at a time...1st chore is getting back to you and doing you!

I was sleeved on 7/26/12 my start weight was 257 now I'm 230 as of today (1 day under 2 weeks). All I have is Protein, Water, apple juice 100% juice sugar free and suger free popsicles. I'm not counting any calories just walking 20-30 min daily. I say check with your nut. and surg ALL ARE DIFFERENT.. My friend was sleeved 2 weeks before me and she's started eating eggs, tuna w/crackers and mash potatoe prior to her making 2weeks post op. She followed the Dr's orders this is what he recommended when she was not getting enough fluids. She will be 4 weeks tomorrow and she already had her some chips (yummy)

how far out in preop are you? Ive only heard smoking can be bad becuz it can hinder your healing process and cause clots. I say if you are over 6weeks you should be safe. I feel your pain I love my cocktails and counting down the days until i can enjoy one finally
