Question? Did the Dr not run test/labs/ultrasounds/upper GI etc...prior to surgery? Glad to hear all is well now. Be blessed

They test u the next day for leakage! My Dr didn't require preop liquid diet just did soft foods 1 day preop and had no problems so far.. 2day makes 2 weeks and I'm down 27lbs. No worry especially if your surgeon is part of biatric excellence board!

Hands down c section pain is worse!! I can't tolerate pain to much and the sleeve pain is bearable. The epigastric gas after surgery is worse than the pain from the actual surgery

Give her shade baby becuz when you meet your goal she will have to pick her mouth up off the floor!! Pay her no mind..it's easy to say things about someone if they don't know our struggle. I could have did it the so called "right way" but I'm love to eat and my sleeve is the "little kick in the butt i need"

what did you replace crystal lite with?
-
Yep it's the Protein. I'm on WHEY Protein Shakes, Jello, Water, apple/grape 100% juice no sugar and sugar free popsciles. I cant wait to have my phill cream cheese (fat free) wrapped in deli meat. HMMMMM...i can taste it now on flat break crackers

This was on discussion yesterday are you drinking Crystal Lite? Crystal lite has a product in in that starts with an "a" (sorry forgot the word) but folks are getting bad migrains when consumed.

Yes I stay with a cotton mouth and experiencing bad breath. I'm told I'm in the Ketosis (fat burning) stage. Due to high Protein and no carbs. Gum can't even cover this dragon breath

My friend was sleeved 2 wks prior to me and she had a cocktail this weekend and said she was fine.. I guess for each it's own..someone from this site emailed me and said they waited 4 wks and told me to add a splenda and add a splash of Water in the alcohols used for the margaritas and mix w/fresh lime, lemon and oranges

I'm new to this also was sleeved 7/26/12 post op everything was successfull no problems. My only issue is bad GAS and experiencing Ketosis.. Preop I was a smoker (pot) and drinker and stopped 4 days prior to surgery. Nothing to worry about everything will be fine. Just be honest with your Dr and your Anesthesiaist (dont know if i spelled that right) I was up front about everything. The pain is bereable, the more you walk the faster you heal. Now preop a lot of folks mention they were on a liquid/soft food diet, I only did soft foods 1 day prior surgery. If your blood work and test come back fine then you will be fine just follow his orders. I have my post op visit next week and I will be asking when can I have my 1st cocktail and raw oysters..LOL oh BTW I'll be 2 wks tomorrow and I'm 27lbs down as of 3 days ago..

2 months hmmmm that's not bad. I have a concert Sept 3 and we rented a party bus and I would love to enjoy one of the low cal cocktails I found online.
-
Thanks you guys for the honest answers! I have a post op visit next week and anxious to see what he says. I asked him in my preop visits and he didn't state any specific time frame. I have been googling all type of low cal cocktails..I not going crazy without one but I can't wait to have one!

Hello everyone I'm new to the site and was sleeved on July 26, 2012. I know everyone's Dr gives different rules. But I enjoy my cocktails and raw oysters...please share with me how long did it take you to have a cocktail and how did it make you feel? I've read people say wait 6mon to a year but I know people personally that didn't wait that long and was fine and still able to stay on track with weight loss..I'm craving my cocktails please don't judge!
