  5. I have 7 and twins 3yo. so I think I will just tell them that mommy's belly hurt and if need might show it. I know their teacher in daycare had gallbladder removed and she just tell them that her belly is Oych!!! and they understand and was trying to do everything themselves. so I hope this would work for me as well. the 7 yo is bigger problem he like to hug mommy
  6. Feelsme2, I need to survive by day 4 , yes But I still feel your pain with combination of both unpleasant things... I am sure I can handle that, just don't understand why we are not allowed vegetables. Are you on clear liquid as well? My surgery is on Friday as well. sometimes I think I am enjoying cooking for my family. but not sure how to handle the time when they are eating I am trying to eat sugar- free jello at the same time at least I would be eating... another idea came to my mind. What if I mix the broth with gelatin. I think it would be good meal as well.
  7. newgrandma, I am not allowed to eat a lot what you can. my day today: Breakfast: cup of water with lemon and cup of Coffee. ( cannot survive without it) snack: protein shake Lunch : protein shake and water. Snack: chicken broth ( cooked myself ) + water dinner: sugar free jello + water before bed: water with lemon+ 1 teaspoon honey. total 70 g protein per day I think.
  8. May I join your club? Day 1 of pre op diet and feel bad. not because i am hungry but because I am nauseous. I even think I "overeat" my liquid today because I hope that if I drink it would go away.... it doesnt....

  10. newgrandma, not sure how you handle first 2 days. today is day one on my liquid and it start with terrible headache which was gone after 2 pills of Tylenol. 19. Barisaxylady, I don't know. I am just so upset that I cannot handle it right now. Will try to call them tomorrow again and see what's going on....
  20. Fran, I am upset because they said it possible and now it is not only because doctor forget to write the letter for insurance company and he is not in the office ( I assume he is on vacation) until 9/4. I understand that that now I am move back to 9/21 but for my work this is very bad date. I know that I cannot change anything now. I am just feel bad that Doctor doesn't care at all about his patients.
  21. Guys, I don't' know how this happened. all paper was ready 2 weeks ago. The first surgery date was originally 9/21, but I had an appointment last Thursday and ask to change it to 7 and they said YES. and I called them almost everyday to ask how was everything. and today this news unsettle me.
  22. Hi, everyone. Just want to share my bad news. my coordinator called me and said that my surgery will not be on September 7th because surgeon didn't prepare the letter and he is off the office now and would be back only on 9/4. and even if he would prepare the letter insurance company need at least 7 days for approval. so forget about surgery on 9/7.
  23. It is look great for me for 16 days post op. some scar almost invisible. what is mederma ? (My surgery is 9/7.)
  24. Girls to continue this subject. I found another interesting article about honey and loose weight. "Natural honey when taken prior to bed is believed to be able to fuel the liver, speed up fat-burning metabolism, ease stress hormones and help us get a better night's sleep. This oldest natural sweetener also contains a wide variety of Vitamins, including vitamins B6, B1, B2 and B5, and minerals such as Calcium, copper, Iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium, sodium and zinc, anti-oxidants and amino acids, the building blocks of Proteins." the full article is here: http://www.benefits-...ation-diet.html just wonder if we can eat honey after surgery? and how far after?
