  1. Does your surgeons office require weight loss? I too have ConnrcticuT Medicaid. I gained 7 pounds and was able to take it off. I think u will be OK because of your bmi and that u have other complications. Just stay positive and hope for the best. I'm still waiting for my Approval its only been one day but soon anxious. Good luck to u! My insurance and surgeon do not require weight loss they just want u to maintain, stay consistent, bring food journals and show that u are really trying
  2. Hi sanaah so proud of you!!!! I don't have a relationship with my in laws only a few family members know. All co workers and my neighbors very supportive though!!!! I'm excited for our journey to begin!!!! Well it kinda already has!!! Just waiting for that phone call of approval
  3. Also if u get grant money I would try to save some of your disbursements each semester that might help
  4. I'm sorry that you feel this way and please stay positive because things get better. If your job doesn't offer insurance I'm pretty sure you will meet the guidelines for state insurance. Its a pain dealing with the State but in the end soooooo worth it. Google DSS office for your state and it will bring up the closest locations. All they need are 2 or 4 pay stubs. Not sure how much u make but I JUST made under the income limit ( I also have a 2 year old) but please try. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep your head up. I would also look into your local hospitals and attend a WLS support/information meeting. They are free and usually once a month. Someone will help you or steer you in the right direction to achieve your goals!

  18. i personally havent been sleeved but i kinda struggle with the same thing. my last diet. appt is september 5th and i know once i have my surgery date on paper mentally i will have to stop. i am taking chantix again so hopefully it will really help subside the cravings. ive been bumming off my friends i refuse to buy a pack!! i know how you feel with sleeping right after work ( i have a 2 year old and sneak in a nap almost everyday before i pick her up from daycare) once we get home we do dinner and then im kinda bored (taking 2online classes to keep me busy as well) then for that last hour before the babysitting closes at the gym i bring myself to the gym for at least 45 minutes which makes me sleep and rest sooo comfortably. its that *after meal CIG* that kills me. as soon as i finish a meal its all i want!!!! before i had it ready and waiting. now i wait at least a half an hour to an hour before having a cig. i really really really want 2 stop but it is hard. payday this friday and i will DEF be investing in the E CIG. i think it will REALLY help alot!!!! i havent been sleeved but i could imagine it is hard and frustrating. do you have fears of stretching your sleeve? mentally thats what i think about. i think all the junk and bad stuff will make me sick and even now if i slip up off of my nut meal plan i get really really sick. >( good luck to you! maybe your dr can prescribe you chantix.

ive read on here numerous times (and you tube videos) that the dreaded stall always starts around the 3rd-4th week keep your head up!
  20. hey thanks so much for that post! it was so nice and comforting!!!! ive debated lap band and bypass. after seeing the lack of weight loss my friend had with the band, reading about all its complications and insight from my surgeon i didnt decide to go with the sleeve until my 5th month. sept 5th is my last nut appointment and i cant wait!! im ready for the lifestyle change, for me my daughter. to be healthy and happy and live long and have energy for her! i dont want to be miserable and not feel like myself. im terrified and i make sure i read up on all the complications. i know everyones body and situation is different, i just hope for the best and that i recover well. ive had a c section (although i have a low tolerance for pain) i think i will be ok. my job is amazing and we have paid short term disability i cant wait!!! thanks for such wonderful tips <3!!!
  21. wow mine is sept 5th and i cant wait. your bmi isnt half as bad as mine so you cant look at that bad. mine is 50! im so excited for us!!!
