Theboysmom replied to Whitney Cunningham's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Gonna be a little rough on ya.... But I think you might need to chill out a bit! Who says they have only lost 40 lbs? Thats as much as my 5 yr old son! Come on! Its 40 pounds and thats Amazing! Lets also remember that the band is a tool to assist you with your goal! I believe in you so start believing in yourself! As others have said...Keep your food log! Ever thought maybe you are straving your body and its holding onto everything you have! You might really be surprised once you keep track EVERYDAY! And ya gotta get off the couch sweety! Exercise! You will be so amazed at your results and how much better you will have those 40 pounds gone and sweating a little bit! Believe in yourself and anything is possible! Lets do it! Setting a mini goal really helped me stay on track! Best of luck!! -
Hello yall! I have been going back and forth trying to decide what I want to do. Maintain my weight or continue to lose and set myself a new goal. I have had lots of imput from family and some of my dearest friends all very positive of evrything that I can accomplished this far. They are concerned that if I lose much more weight that I may look sick. I understand that concern as I have seen people go to the extreme and continue to try and reach that number on the scale. I have decided since reaching onederland on August 23 I am going to an additional 23 lbs. That will be a total weight loss of 85 lbs. Have any of you experienced the deciding moment on what to do next. I never dreamt that I would ever have to or get the chance to make the decision to loss MORE weight!

That now that I have reached my first goal... Why does a size 10 not look like a size 10 I thought would look on me? Weird! I know I bought a 10 because thats what the jeans say but my brain and eyes dont see a 10? Does this change?

"stuck Episode" Best Thing To Do Is....
Theboysmom replied to A New New Dawn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
In the past I have found the best thing for me is to try and remain as calm as possible and remove myself from everyone. It seems to help me concentrate on keeping my cool. And I walk...not fast but just getting up and moving around. It has taken as long as 20 mintues for food to pass. I will tell you that you learn VERY quickly when you swallow if its going to get stuck. You learn to listen and pay attention to your body. I would NOT advise anyone to throw up. I have and its terribly unpleasant and not to mention VERY exhausting. Best advice...Remain calm, breath and get up and walk. Good luck! -

I think we all experience those weird sounds! Still to this day I do and I was banned on November 21,2011. I like to believe its my body thanking me for eating healthy, the exercise Im now doing and the less weight I am now draggin around! I even pat my tummy sometimes and say settle down in there...Hahah!! All normal noises I believe!

Heavens Sake! First lets take a deep breath! Did they fix a hernia? They did with me and I had that pressure but you are a trooper because I had to take something for the pain just couldn’t do it! As far as the protein goes…I have found the GNC has the best tasting for me…Amplified Wheybolic extreme 60…Cookies and Cream is to die for! Yum! BBQ chips kisses! That made me laugh! And you ask can you survive! ABSOFREAKINLUTEY you can! Believe me if I can anyone can! Surround yourself with supportive people! The noise your body is going to make will amaze you! Especially if the room is very quiet is kinda entertaining! It’s a journey and you will learn quickly that you must listen to your body and do as it tells you! Take it slow! How about V8 have you tried it? Stay positive! And let us know how things go!

Hello everyone! Wanted to share my exciting news! I reached my 1st personal goal today! I always weigh in on Friday mornings however today I was going for a fill number 7 and wanted to take note on how close my scale was to the doctors. When I decided to have lapband, banned on Nov 21, 2012 weighing 260 I set my goal to weigh 200 pounds however that quickly changed and didnt want to be in the 200s. I wanted to be 199. I have been working my tail off to reach that point and this morning I stepped on the scale looked down and it read 198.0! I said WHAT! Stepped off and right back on again! And sure enough there it was 198.0...I stood there on the scale and cried tears of happiness. I havent weighed anywhere close to 198 since my early early teens. 62 lbs GONE! If YOU believe in YOU anything is possible!

Why wouldnt that make you drink and wait to be sure! Thats scary! Hope everything goes okay!
