  1. I had my surgery the same day as you. I’ve lost 25 pounds, but I was really sick with the flu for 3 weeks a month later. I’m still really tired all the time. Was wondering if you have any pain. My right side stays sore all the time, sometimes after I eat the pain is stabbing. It never goes away completely. I think my w/l has stopped, not sure, I don’t own a scale. My dr wants me to only weigh at his office, and concentrate only on my nutrition.

    No pain for me

  2. Not a revision - did the loop DS + sleeve with Dr. Roslin at Lenox Hill - it's a smaller sleeve than you would get without the DS

Thank you. I don’t feel bloated or Water weight. I just feel like I never had surgery. I guess I would probably feel that way since my stomach was cut years ago. I just feel like I did preop. Nothing feels different except the way I got the bathroom LOL I was just getting concerned and thought what if I did the surgery and didn’t lose any weight?

  3. I wouldnt worry too much - everyone is different and you could be holding on to a lot of Water weight after surgery. I'm just about 5 months out and I'm down 70 lbs - just hit onederland! I'm able to eat a bit more and my weight is slowing down but still moving in the right direction.

Did you have the sleeve done at the same time as the loop? Or did you have it years prior then get a revision?

  4. Hi. I had the one loop DS in December 2013. I went from 268 to 115. I have maintained my weight. I follow the food regimen of a person who had the traditional DS. I only eat Protein and i don't eat sugar, Pasta, potatoes, sweet potatoes, bread, corn or anything high in carbs. So far so good.

I had the revision from the sleeve to the DS loop. It’s been four weeks and I haven’t lost anything but 14 pounds the first week 1/2. I’m starting to get a little concerned that my weights not moving. Any advice?

  5. It's going to take some time before things to back to normal. I'm six weeks post-op, so I'm still figuring things out too. My bowel movements are still very soft and small, nothing like before. Your output should be a little more substantial tween weeks 2-3, if I remember correctly. And since we're being open here, may I also add that the color is also not what it used to be? They're more the color of hay. I'd also like to ask someone on here if they've noticed an orange oil in their bowel movements after eating foods high in fat. It's the same color of orange in pepperoni oil (sorry to be so graphic; I'd really like to know if this is normal). I have a follow-up with my doctor next week, but I've been considering asking this question on this site too. Le'ts face it, the plumbing changes considerably with the DS.

I had a revision done on November 14 from the sleeve to the loop DS. I haven’t really lost anything. How much have you lost? Starting to get concerned

  6. I had the Loop DS/SIPS surgery so maybe a bit different, but I rarely if ever get woken up to poop. I usually poop only once a day (pre-surgery I usually went once every 2-3 days) - it's soft but usually not at all uncomfortable. Occasionally if my Salad Dressing is too heavy or something I'll get the oil slick which is a bit gross but not unmanageable. Wet wipes help haha!
I still get the gurgles all the time but it hasn't been super awkward...yet.
I'm 3 months out and still eating very small meals - for example I had a Smart Ones for dinner and could only eat 1/2 of it. Fish works really well for me. chicken not so well. Ground meats are typically ok especially if they're moist. cheese is easiest and my favorite way of getting extra Protein is with Fairlife milk. I fortunately don't have a problem with dairy!

How much hv u lost? Had the loop done 11-14-17 and lost nothing for 2 1/2 weeks? What’s your stats please

  7. I had the sleeve done five years ago. I got pregnant eight months after. I lost 88 pounds from the sleeve and gain to 60 back. November 14, 2017 I had the single anastomoses duodenal switch. I lost 14 pounds the first two weeks and have not lost but have gained 1 pound in the last two weeks. For those of you out there that I’ve had this done has it been successful for you? Is the weight-loss slow and steady? Can you share some of your experiences
