Hi all. I was banded 12/6 and have lost about 13 lbs total. I went for my first fill. How did you all feel afterwards ?

I had the dermabond skin glue so I could shower immediately.

Awesomeness!! I had my first appt today and down 13lbs! I didn't get a fill ( will do that 12/31) but I can start to work in foods now! Yay!

I just wanted to let everyone freshly post op that there is light after all the gas pains! I was banded on 12/6 and I return to work tomorrow!! I have not had pain meds in a few days, gas moving freely ) and only pain really is at port site. I also have follow up with surgeon tomorrow afternoon! Hang in there everyone it gets better, and pretty quickly! I am so excited about this journey! 15 pounds gone so far and I hope to start the treadmill this week. It's only going to get from here!! We have each other!! Xo

I am so sorry that you are having such a trying time. It's unfortunate that the ones we love the most hurt us the most sometimes! You can do this, you WILL do this! We are here for you!!! Hugs!!

I would have to agree with Chez... I honestly don't think you will feel like it. And you will most likely realize this at that time, but just take care of yourself!!

Hang in there' date=' the first couple days are rough but it gets a lot easier relatively quickly. You'll be amazed how "normal" you'll feel again within a matter of days.

Ditto this! I'm on postoperative day 8 and I feel awesome! A week ago... Not so much! Hang in there!

I have to be there at 8:30 in the morning! Nervous and excited.......don't know if I will be able to sleep at all tonight!

That's kind of what I was thinking. That with RnY weight loss is almost guaranteed... With band it's mostly the patient that controls the weight loss. I proceeded with great confidence that I will be successful.

Did anyone have a surgeon that didn't seem fond of the band? Mine seemed a little against it due to all the complications he had seen. But he did say that if he had to choose anyone for the band that I would be the perfect candidate. I was banded last Thursday.

I promise it will get better! The heating pad helped me lots! Keep your pain meds on board until you feel yourself tolerating things better! Walk when you are awake! Otherwise rest!!

I am feeling pretty good actually! I'm more uncomfortable than in pain, if that makes sense. I finally was able to pass gas (TMI) yesterday and Oh Happy Day! Felt like a new woman. I definitely think walking helps! I used the heating pad and that helped a lot too. Best of luck to you!

Good luck to all of the bandsters for this week!! You will wake up and BOOM it's done! I was banded Thursday the 6th!! Can't believe it's already done!
