  1. He has been very supportive. I'm very lucky
  2. It is getting close, December 10! So excited and so nervous. Last night I said to my husband I don't know if I can do this. He in a nut shell said after all I have been through the last three months I'm not backing out now lol. Thanks for the help! Have you been sleeved?
  3. I've been trying to make little changes. Little over three weeks without having a coke. That is a big one for me!!!! I'm very proud of myself for that!!! Trying to chew food 30 times is very difficult. I find the food after about 15 chews just goes to the back of my throat and I can't help but swallow. The no drinking during a meal is killing me. Maybe my bites are still too big and that is making hard, I don't know. I don't typically use a straw so I'm not too worried about that but I still Don't see why once we are healed we can't use it.
  4. I think you can only do it on a computer or not on the app. But it's nice to add people that you talk to a lot December 3rd will be here before you know it. Mine is the 10th. Yikes
  5. Me too. I'm december 10 and it's all I think about as well.
  6. Thanks all for your responses. I definitely don't feel it's an easy way out. I personally thinks it's going to be very difficult at first but I am ready for the change. I have to do something Thank you all for your insight.
  7. No experience yet but I will be having the same thing done Dec 10. Good luck to you!
  8. this is so weird. i am SO excited about this surgery. finally feeling like there is light at the end of this weight tunnel. i received my date on friday, december 10, woohoo! i am now starting to tell close friends and family. but as i say it out loud to them i feel such a feeling that i gave up and now its come to having to have surgery to get my weight under control. everyone has been so supportive and feels i am making the right decision. is that a normal feeling to feel that way? i almost feel defeated. its hard to explain...
  9. the lunch thing just made me crack up. my friend works right by the hospital i will be at. she said that she will bring me lunch after my surgery and eat with me. i looked at her like...youre kidding right? and she oh...yeah...no lunch
  10. I'm. December 10th too! Waiting on one more clearance but they gave me a tentative date . Part of me wants to move it back until after xmas but I also just want to get it done.
  11. I'm set for December 10th! So excited but so scared too!!!
  12. I have bcbs of il ppo. I had to do diet class, pysch, and show a history of being overweight. I believe that was it. I had a few things come up that stalled my process a bit but once it got sent it it was approved fairly quickly.
  13. Skinny sex! Aside from being healthy and all. What are you looking forward too post surgery?
  14. Like above posters said it's kinda all depends on insurance and how busy the offices are that you are going too. I went to my first seminar august 4 met my surgeon august 29 and have done numerous tests and things since. My case was submitted to bcbs on 10/25 I was approved 10/29 and just got pulmonary clearance. I should get my date any day now.
  15. Yay congrats! That's so exciting.
  16. I have the galaxy III and you have to hit the menu button on the lower left and it will bring up the refresh reply subscribe menu then you should be able to. It took me a while to figure it out cause on the iPhone there were buttons on the app to post and such.
  17. I know patience is a virtue and it will all fall into place but I just want to get my date! I received pulmonary clearance last Friday but they wouldn't send it to my Dr until I had cardiac clearance. I had something pop up on a test which after a week of hubby and I freaking out turned out to be nothing. So cardiology has sent the ok to the lung Dr that surgery was good. But now I'm waiting for the lung Dr to review that and send the pulmonary clearance in. Was hoping for yesterday but of course my Dr was not in the office to review it :-) This has been the most stressful 4 months of my life. That is all. Happy almost friday!!!!!
  18. Same as above but also have to do hibicleanse the night before and the morning of. It's some sort of antibacterial rinse. Apparently stains your skin blue
  19. Thanks all. I understand that we need vitamins forever just wasn't sure if they had to be chewable. Will definitely ask at my next appointment
  20. I just had my nut class and she mentioned what vitamins we can take. She gave us a list of 4 brands and what to buy. My question to her was do we have to take those exact vitamins for the rest of our lives or in 6 months to a year post op csn we go back to what we used to take before surgery? She didn't really answer my question other than saying we sleeves need to take vitamins forever... So my question for you all... How long do we use for example the Bariatric advantage vitamins?
