So I had my gallbladder out this morning. I am home now and want to eat before taking another pain pill. What does everyone recommend? I'm afraid to eat anything!

Post of sleeve? I had it done with a different dr bv mine couldn't do it. The general surgeon said eat normal.

Dr li did my surgery too, she was great. I only lost like 2 lbs preop when she told me to lose 10. I just did calories in calories out method. She is great, she wants the weight loss just to shrink the liver some.

I am 6.5 months post op and I have to get mine out in 2 weeks. They wanted to do it Monday but I can't because of school. I talked to my np today and he told me its a good thing, just means I've done so well with my weight loss. I am 73lb down so far. Everyone says the surgery is nothing and I'm even lucky one of the general surgeons is doing it with a robot so it's a single incision in my belly button!! It just sucks waiting for it bc I'm in pain and nauseous alot and I have bad bathroom issues. No one in my family has had any issues ever with there's.

My surgeon called today and told me she wants it out. They wanted it to be Monday but I am aiming for the 29th. My surgeon can't do it but one of the general surgeons is an expert in the single incision removal so he is doing to do it. Luckily I work with the surgeon so I know he is really good but I really don't want surgery

I had the exact same thing! I had a contact dull sensation in my right upper quadrant. I had a few episodes of severe pain. I went and got a hida scan and an ultrasound yesterday and wouldn't ya know, lots of stones and blockage! The ct in the er only showed sludge. Call ur surgeon and get an ultra sound.

I wasn't on any meds to prevent them. Some times I eat and it's fine and other times its not. The other day I had 5 baked lays chips and started to have pain. It's so hit or miss I'm afraid of food

I have had similar issues. I have had 2 episodes of the worst pain of my life in my stomach that went to my chest and back. The fist time I went to the Ed. They only found sludge in my gallbladder on the ct. I had another episode last night but treated my self with pain meds and zofran and phergen. Tomorrow I have a hida scan and ultrasound but If they show nothing I will have to be scoped

Anything yogurt and shakes make it hurt the least but it just sits in my stomach and makes me feel like I am gonna throw it up.

So I have been having abdominal pain lately so I saw my dr for my 6 month post op apt. They are sending me for a hida scan and an ultrasound on Tuesday. I sooo don't want another surgery. I did not tolerate the surgical part of my sleeve. How bad is the surgery??

Mine has been falling out for 4 months. I am 6 months post op. biotin does nothing for me. My hair dresser told me to buy j Beverly Hills rescue shampoo to help. They said it works better then nioxin.

I am 6 months out and have gone through periods were I can eat a ton and times when I can eat very little. I was in the er 2 weeks ago with bad abdominal pain. They did a ct and my stomach hasn't stretched at all. I haven't followed the diet perfectly, I have popcorn and chips some times but now instead of half a bag of chips I eat like 5. I think it would be very hard to stretch it. I work with a few people that had the sleeve and are still very heavy but they didn't make the big changes like adding in exercise. Once I hit my goal my plan is to eat what I want in moderation and just know I have to stay very active to counter if I want to eat more. I really don't want to ever be on a "diet" again!

Ok I may be crazy but I am sooo sick of all the attention I have been getting post op. I am 6 months out right now and down 68lb and I swear everyday at work someone is like omg how much are you down, you look great..... I really appreciate it but am sick of it. I guess I don't feel that great, I'm still 173 and 5'1" so I still look big in my eyes. I have never been comfortable being the center of attention any way so this is making it worse. Like I said I may be nuts but its just really starting to annoy me and unfortunately I work in a huge hospital and everyone knows me there so I get it at least 3 times a day. I guess I just want to be normal and not feel like the freak show weight loss girl. Am I the only one feeling this way??

I'm the same if I head your so skinny now one more time I'm going to scream! I'm still way over weight for my height I'm a 12/14, it's better then a 20 that I was but scrubs are very forgiving! I still feel huge and have a long way to go and I find my self wanting to lie bc I just had a month long stall and was embarrassed because every time someone would say how much is it now it would be the same as it was. I feel like I'm being rude because I just kinda walk away when people start.

I am a respiratory therapist in a very busy urban hospital. I always have an extra protein shake with me and I try to get a cup of water from the pantry every 30 mins if possible. When I work in the icu I make sure I go get a drink after seeing every other patient. I have gotten dehydrated before and has someone give me and iv before I went home and gave my self 3l but that was after a hellish 4 days in a row and having to stay the night for a hurricane. I have been very open about my surgery with everyone because then they are very understanding with my new needs. It's about putting your self first some times and saying I need a break. I found that concept very hard because I hate help but I force my self.

I have has implanon for 6 yrs had no period on it till I had my surgery now I have it monthly. I get my new implant in a month hopefully they stop. As for the pain it's the same as having a mole removed. The lidocaine burns that's it. Lets just say I had my last one put in during my lunch break at work, I work as a nurse in a hospital.

Ugh I am 4.5 months post up and ended up in the Er tonight :/. I came home after a long day at work and had a snack. Then I Had the worst pain of my life and started to vomit. I honestly have never felt pain like that. I finally broke down and called my friend to take me in. So far I have had some dilaudid, zofran and protonix. They are trying to make me drink a ton of contrast to get a CT. I can't get much of it down with out puking. I swear I thought I perfed my stomach my. Now I wait 90 mins after the contrast for my ct, but my lab work is back and my WBC is high. Hopefully the ct comes back normal!

Thanks everyone. Just saw the dr. She said probably gastritis or stomach bug. My CT just showed sludge. I had a slightly elevated WBC that could be stress related. They offered to call my bariatric surgeon but I refused. I will call when they open. I have developed bad GERD in the past month. I'm sure now they will want another endoscopy after last night. They said it was a possibility before this all happened. Well I have been up for 24 hrs now, time to go to nefb

Thanks, I sent my friend home and am alone now. It's 4 am and we both worked 13 hours yesterday. Luckly I work in this hospital and in he er alot so they are taking good care of me! I'm a little worried my WBC is elevated and one liver function is high

I am just over 5 months post op and for the past 3 weeks my stomach has been soooo sour! I have been taking nexium twice a day and probably going to start Prilosec again. It happens all day long and nothing is helping. Sometimes it makes me seriously feel like I'm going to puke. Has anyone else had this?? I had reflux the first month or 2 but it went away.

I broke down and called my doctors office because it was so bad! He told my the 10 mg of Pepcid twice a day wouldn't even affect his cat haha. He told me 80mg Prilosec for the next 3 days then 40mg daily. If its not better in a week I probably will need an upper gi to see if letting it go this long caused damage :/. Hopefully not bc I really don't want to be scoped again. And my family is over an hour away and I can't ask them to take me to and from so I have to rely on coworkers to take me and a friend to pick me up which sucks!! So hopefully the Prilosec stops it!!
