    Omigosh! They Fit! They Fit!

I am so excited for you!! Way to go!!!!!!
  2. I am staying between 500 and 800 calories a day. A good program I use to help me keep track of my daily intake is http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/account/flog.php . I am not loosing a lot of weight at a time. I think I am averaging about 2 lbs a week right now. I am taking it nice and slow and thankful for each and every pound I can wave goodbye too.

    Onederland!

Way to go!!!! Congratulations! I hit 299 this morning! I still have a long way to go to get to onederland but the only way to get there is to set small goals and reach them one step at a time. I am very happy with my progress so far. My next goal is 250. :-)
  4. It is very frustrating to be eating such low amounts of food and calories yet come to a complete stall on the scales but I found this information the other day and really found it helpful. I hope it will help all of you too. http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html

    Stall Information!

It really does not make sense why we stall when we are on such a low caloric diet. It has had me stumped but I saw someone post this the other day and discovered the reason. I encourage everyone to read this and pass on the information to other fellow "stallers". Very informative!! Good luck to all of you. http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html
  6. I have finally passed my stall... Yay!!!! Started back at the gym on Monday and have already dropped almost three pounds. I was really beginning to wonder but continued to keep the faith.

    Call Me Dumb...but...

Beef broth and vegetable broth are also clear liquids. I found that the vegetable broth was my favorite because it had more flavor. It tastes like Cambells vegetable soup to me. You can also drink decaf coffe and decaff unsweet tea which are clear liquids. Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming sleeve.

    Stupid Scale!

We must have the same scale... the same thing happens to me! It is very frustrating and yelling at it does not help much either! I feel my scale has a very cruel sense of humor.

    Good Sources Of Mushy Foods?

I have discovered chicken spread, roast beef spread, deviled ham and potted meat. You could also get vienna sausages or spam and blend them. There are also some very tasty baby fruity baby foods such as peach cobbler, tutie fruity and hawain delight. Greek yogurt is very high in protein and so is fat free cottage cheese. You can also do fat free or low fat pudding. I would stay away from mashed potatoes though because they are so high in carbs.
  10. I just about spewed my protien shake out of my nose when I read the last post by DDFinn... wedgie and a camel toe... OMG.. Hillarious!! I too have come to a stall in my weight loss. I am glad to know I am not alone! I had surgery on 3/29/12 (two weeks ago today) I lost 15 the week before surgery and 15 over the past two weeks after surgery. I think most of my rapid weight loss was due to fluid retention. I can see a pretty big difference with the small amount I have already lost but I did not pay $14,000 to lose only 30 lbs. I still have a very long road ahead of me but my surgeon did tell me this surgery allows you to lose weight slow... around 1 to 2 pounds per week. That is actually a good thing because slower weight loss allows you to work out and tone up as you lose. Today was my first day back at the gym. I am hoping that will help a little. Im keeping my head up and determined to stay positive. A year from now, I will be looking back at who I was and smiling at who I have become. :-)
  11. Self pay in Monroe Louisiana. $4,900... surgeon $500...... anesthesiologist $7500.... hospital ---------------------------- $12,900... My insurance helped pay for pre-op testing and lab work but my deductible was not met so I had an out of pocket pay of about $700. I also was advised that I will be getting another bill of about $300 from the lab where the removed stomach was sent for analysis. So in the end i will end up paying almost $14,000 When you are a self pay...you discover very quickly that there are many hidden costs that are not included in the original price but in my opinion... IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!
