I was banded in Aug also 251 and now 242 I can't move! I feel like I should be nearing the 220's I'm eating 1300 cals a day. You've inspired I gotta start moving my goal is to loose 10 lbs this month. Bit too sure that's going to happen but I'm being positive!

Had my 3rd fill and although I'm going hours with out eating I feel good. I have a had a cold for about a week but since this fill I have noticed a tightness in my back. Parallel to my chest. I don't know of this is the band saying hello or coughs just be from the working out/ caught I had. Thought of throw it out there and see of anyone else has experienced this!

I had my gall bladder removed 2 years ago. Plus pray is the first time where I don't feel the tightness! I think it may have been working out/ having a cold related! Thanks for the advise!

Hey everyone a couple things. 1st I had my second fill last week and I haven't list a single pound. I am eating way less and exercising about 4 tones a week. What's happening? 2nd something I think my band is making noise. Almost like a clicking noise. Maybe I ate to much had anyone heard or experienced this?

Hey wannabethin2012, I completely understand this! I was banded on Aug 20 I have had 2 fills I'm at 5cc in a 11 cc band. I have lost 18 lbs. I just had the second fill last week and haven't lost a single pound exercising 4 times a week and sticking to the rules. So I'm very glad to hear at some point the weight should be coming off because I'm starting to get very discouraged!

Be very careful, with this one. Just because you can feel the port does not mean it where it's supposed to be. For example I had surgery on aug 20 and had no issues with surgery. 6 weeks later after going to the surgeon for my first fill my port flipped. I could feel my port and to me didn't have any kind of pain or weirdness to think it had. Not trying to freak you out but you should jut go to your family doctor and ask for an X-ray to make sure it's where it needs to be. And of its just a muscle then great but I'd rather know sooner than later.

So I get this free tan coupon in the mail yesterday that is only good until tomorrow. Obviously real sun is better than fake tanning, but I'm in Canada and its cold here LOL. Is there any rules about using a tanning bed. I'm not a tanning junky I've been probably 6 times in my entire life. I just like the way my skin appears a shade darker. Plus having surgery 3 months ago I think it might make me look a little toner. Thoughts?????

Yikes you girls just scared the crap out of me. I am in desperate need of real sun!! Maybe a vacation? Thanks for all your input!

I am sure we've all heard of them but had anyone these? Would there be a problem taking them being banded?

Hey girl! I think has been my biggest fear my whole life. I am 29 an I can't remember being under 200lbs. To me that is crazy! But because of that I don't Even know what I look like thin. My husband has never seen me thin and I bet the majority of my family hasn't either. This part scares me but it is also is very exciting because I'm curious to know what I will look like. Sounds strange but let the transformation begin!

HI Erin.. I am in almost the same position as you. I was also banded in August lost 20lbs, and i have maintained for the last 5 weeks. I have only had 1 fill since surgery and that was on Oct 29 when I had a port revision (mine flipped) 4cc in a 11cc band. I am literally stuck in the same point and its driving me crazy. I am scheduled for a fill on Monday Nov 19 I am hoping a fill when get me moving again so I can really start losing weight. I was just cleard by my doc to go back to the gym this week, so I am super excited to get back into the swing of things. I know we can do this! Stay positive..

I can't seem to get my head in the game! Banded on Aug 20 and after having a port revision on Oct 29 I finally got a fill 4cc in my 11cc band! I can eat anything. But can certainly go longer periods without Being hungry. I have not lost a single lbs since my first fill! I have maintained to the ounce. I haven't been working out because I could not due to the second surgey but am allowed to start again next week! I need to stick to healthy foods get back to the diet mentality any suggestions????

Hey Mis73.. I am using my fitness pal and eating about 1308 a day. I was cleared by my surgeon to start exercising yesterday but no weights over 10lbs for 2 more weeks. I am counting calories, have a nutrionist and a therapist. Helps me stay motivated and on track. I have no gone over my 1308 calories a day and still nothing. I am by no means able to eat what i used to and in fact have continued to follow the high Protein 70-75g a day and fruits and vegetables. When i mean I can eat anything, I should have been more specific and said I haven't had any issues with anything going down, no stuck episodes thus far thank god. I just feel like right the numbers should be moving. I thought my scale was broken so I had everyone on my house step on it, because I have never seen the scale remain the same. Not a single fluctuation. I have schedule a fill for next Monday, so I am hoping that will be able to push me in the right direction. I understand the band wont do this alone for me and I am fine with working with it and doing my part. I just got really frustrated with where I am and where I guess I though I should be. I do appreciate the support. Thank you everyone who posted on this. Your support means the world to me.

Hey Neekola, I had my band on aug 20 went for my first fill unsuccessful with the nurse went back a week later to have one with the surgeon only to find out my port had flipped also. I just had revision surgery on Oct 2@ and asked my doc to give me a fill while in surgery he agreed have me 4cc in a 11cc band! I know how frustrated you are with this trust me I was too! Just when you starting to take off SLAM! I have am new to a fill its only been 4 days I do fill some restriction but I've never heard of port revisions not working! You surgeon sounds like a JERK! In fact I know a lady who had her lap band done in 2001 when it was still very new to Canada now since she has lost 140lbs he port started to stick out a bit! It bothered her so she decided to have her port replaced with a newer model! Fast forward 5 years and she's still goin strong! I don't understand if your port flipped why your band wouldn't work, it's simply flipping the port over and stitching it back in place. Let us know what happens this is very interesting and anything I can do to help!

I was banded on Aug 20 and found out my port had flipped when I was supposed to get my first fill. Had surgery this morning and its all fixed. I also got my first fill while on the operating table. 4cc in a 11cc band. I am on liquids for today and Mushy's tomorrow. Not a lot of pain but they have me a lot of drugs. Anyone else go through this???

Hey ladies! I also have the realize band! Did your air grins have any trouble filling the port the first time. I had 2 unsuccessful fills I'm 6 weeks post op and had to get X-rays waiting to see of maybe the port flipped! Just wondering?
