Just had my first fill 5 days ago 5 ml. My tummy grumbles even when I'm feeling full. Anyone else feel the same

I have felt the same, I got my band aug 6th and 1 fill getting 2ed this week. The only thing I thing i could think of is gas I find I have a lot of gas. Other then that I don't know what it could be ???³

I drink a shake in the morn I don't eat never did but you need the Protein. At night I make me a smoothie with fruit it helps with the hunger and if I didn't get much protein in the day I add some dry to it.

I just let mine alone and it fell off by its self

Don't loose hope they didn't want to fill me I had lost 2 pounds avg a week but I was going to the gym 7 days a week about 2 hours a day. I told the Dr it's not how I wanted to live the rest of my life what would happen if I stop he seen it my way lol

i am going next saturday to try and find my port again..i gained a pound and feel so discouraged..please keep me in your prayers as i pray for all the bandsters..

I have no idea what happened to mine it took the Dr about 1 hour to find where to fill. He said it slipped down. About 30 holes later I got my fill didn't feel anything but seen what he did was not good. Hubby was mad. But I didn't care he will find it right off next time.

No it don't hurt I got my first fill today did not go well at all he couldn't find the right spot. But he numbed it first so I didn't feel anything. In the end I got my fill and he made sure if I need another he will get it first time.

I am scheduled for my surgery on 9/24/12. I am reconsidering doing the lap band. Been doing research online and everyone who has had it has had reflux' date=' vomiting and nausea afterward. Saw horror stories about punctured bowels and this scares the crap out of me with my Crohn's (have had it for 25 years and my GI doc and Vallina approved lap band surgery). Called my surgeon's office and talked to nurse and I talked to him a bit about how I tell people about my surgery, they say "my [cousin, mom, neighbor, etc.'] had that surgery and they were nausesous all the time, vomiting, losing their hair....." freaks me out. He said that he had never heard that (which I find hard to believe that none of his patients experienced this). When I spoke with surgeon the other day, he said that I shouldn't be vomiting too much post-surgery as it can make the band slip. But what if I experience vomiting that I can't help even if I follow the diet to the "t"?

So I am freaking out! Not sure what to do! Just forego surgery and join Weight Watchers (again for the 20th time) and continue the yo yo my whole life? See a therapist to adjust my head's relationship with food with WW or with lap band?

I am scared!

Anyone have lap band surgery performed by Dr. Vallina?

Anyone with Crohn's have this surgery performed? Did it affect Crohn's

Regret doing surgery due to excessive vomiting, reflux, etc.? Why do people experience vomiting, reflux, etc? Eat too much or eat too quickly?

Any encouragement or advice would be greatly appreciated. Help!!

I don't have any trouble I had mine 8/6:12 and my first fill today I have no regrets and I fell blessed to have a 2ed chance at a good life.

im 2 weeks post op i have pain for the first time around the port. i don't have my gal[ blatter so i know its not that got to the surgon in the morning see what he says, but its put a stop to my walking and going to the gym. i will let you know what he tells me.

It's been a week and 1 day went and got weight yesterday and I have lost 19 pounds so happy my blood sugar has been perfect I have been off the meds for 3 weeks now and feeling great. Haven't had to take anything for pain in4 days. Also walked a mile at the gym yesterday

Home doing real good now had a bad day yesterday but so much better now

7 days today feeling real good going to the gym today just walk the track to hot outsinde to walk I'm so excited to see my gym buddy's

Still in the hospital this morning feeling blessed for my second chance at a good healthy life.

It will be fine as long as you have it your mind and do everything you can for yourself. Go into this knowing you can make yourself feel good no one else can do that for you except god have fath.

Oh I'm in a little pain don't get me wrong I just do a lot of walking when I get to hurting and it makes me feel better. The drugs help a little but I don't want to take it. I think what hurts the most is gas so walking helps. I did so much walking the nurses would have to page me lol. The dr said out of 6 he did that day he thinks I was doing the best so walk walk walk.

I am so happy there is very very little discomfort and I can't wait to see results. The doctor and hospital staff were amazing and I just couldn't be happier right now.

This is day 3 post op and I'm doing real good felt hungary for the first time. I feel good!

My surgeon told me 2 weeks only if my tape came off can I go back to Water aerobics can't wait goi

Going to see if next week he will let me walk the track to hot to be outside.

I'm trying to think of a name for my band. It's my new best friend lol.

I assume you mean you will be the first for your GP rather than your surgeon? I think I am the first for my GP. She has been really supportive but I am sure she has learned more from me about the band' date=' living with the band etc than I have from her! That's why it is so important to maintain an ongoing relationship with my surgeon.

No my surgeon. that's right I'm so happy he is only 1 1/2 miles from me and his nurse calls me all the time.

No he is a wonderful surgeon I will be his first band and the first in our town to have it here. Been wanting the band for years just didn't want to drive hours to see my Dr.

Im getting my band on Monday aug 6th. Happy cant wait. But I will be the first for my Dr. I'm fine with that because now we have someone in our town that can help. But he only understands the books. I have learned so much on here I didn't know and I'm thankful for it. Thank you all
