I noticed that during a pause in wt. loss my clothes still got loose. It's something else to encourage you during a pause in weight loss...
  5. Good luck to you both! It's hard to wait i know. It was all I could think about as well. It consumed me, still has me consumed and I'm at goal. Glad I can sorta just "coast" now and maintain my weight...

    TIJUANA! TIJUANA!

Thanks so much...It's been alot of hard work, and a major change in my life. Stil trying to get use to seeing the skinny girl in the mirror and not the big girl...
  9. I've heard from a friend at work that some of the girls were saying I was too skinny (behind) my back, but I took it as a compliment. After spending all the money and all the hard work I've put in to lost wt. I was thrilled to be called skinny. It hurt my feelings at first but I know I look okay. My weight is a normal weight for someone of my height. I think they're probably just jealous or something. My husband went through a spell of having dreams that I found someone else and left him. He is thrilled for me though, but still has some minor insecurity issues when it com es to dealing with my wt. loss...I haven't lost any friends or anything...People are also starting to stop saying how much more are you going to lose, or how much have you lost? I get alot of questions about whatand how much I can eat. I have noticed when I eat with others it sometimes makes them "feel like hogs" they say. I try to eat slow and not make a big deal about it. When my hubby and I went out to eat I was done before he got his salt/pepper etc, on his food! So I try to eat really slow around others.. It's kinda uncomfortable for both of us...
  10. I never had a "nervous stomach" until I was sleeved, now my emotions affect my stomach more as well...
  11. Now that i've reached my ultimate goal I'm having alot of emotions, disbelief is one of them. I can't believe that I reached goal in 5 months. I was told by doc it would probably take about 6 months for me to reach it. It's excitement, fear, happiness, hard to look in mirror and not still see the big girl...

    TIJUANA! TIJUANA!

I was sleeved aug 28th 2012 in Tijuana and just reached goal yesterday! I'm AT sexy-town!!
  17. It's very common to run a low grade temp post op, but as the others have said, keep an eye on it and call the doc if it continues or gets higher. Get in as much fluid as you can...
  18. The protein shakes helped me get in my fluids plus my protein. I just sipped on them often...Find a brand that you like and stock up on them...You sound prepared! This will be an awesome journey for you. I just reached my ultimate goal of 125lbs yesterday! I was sleeved Aug. 28th 2012...I feel great! I've had good days where I felt great, and days where I didn't....Eating post op is alot of trial and error. Some can tolerate different foods than others. You'll do great and have a new lease on your wonderful life!!!Keep us posted on your progress, we're here for you...
  19. I have a hard time with any type of bread-like foods. I get full immediately, kinda stuck-like...I'm 5 months out...

    Is this normal?

You should be sore but I didn't ache horribly. Call your doc today if it continues.
  22. Congratulations on your recent surgery. Everything will come together soon. Sounds like you're experiencing normal postop stuff. You;re going to feel better everyday, it just takes time and take it easy for a while. You'll have good days and bad days for a while...It's all worth it though. I'm one pound from my ultimate goal and feel better every day. I'm almost 5 months out...Good luck and keep us posted on your successes!
  23. 1 lb. from ultimate goal!!!!!
