  1. Thank you all so much. I'm on the left in both pictures. I really don't exercise much. I need to start. I'm in a stall and needed encouragement today! Thanks for the nice comments!
  2. Before surgery at 251, at three months 200!
  3. I find if I eat solid food, "chicken or beef" for example. I get full really fast. I try to stay away from soups or liquid food that goes straight through me. I hope this helps!
  4. I'm looking for fprople in my area to chat with about the gadtric sleeve or the other surgeries. I'm doing pretty good but sometimes I just need to talk to friends that understand! So if you are close to Shreveport let me know:)
  5. Three months out. I was doing great but I feel like I'm at the beginning at another stall. Tomorrow I want to refocus. Shakes for breakfast and lunch protein snacks and light dinner. I'm happy with my three month results but I know I need to get refocused and I really really need an exercise plan. I'm so random with exercise. Does anyone have any advice!
  6. I'm 11 weeks out and down 45lbs. I get ask everyday how it's going and how I feel? I feel so normal, I just eat smaller portions. I think peole expect life to be drastically changed and for me it hasn't. I still cook for my family, go out to dinner with friends and it's okay. The sleeve helps me to make better decisions. This has been great for me. I hope this helps anyone with these questions!!!!
  7. I had my surgery two months ago today. I feel amazing. I have lost 42lbs. I feel amazing.
  8. On vacation. No scale:( I pray to god I have not gained. I don't know!!!!!! Lots of walking not to many bad choices. One more day to my scale. I hate that I feel this way. On the up side I waked up a hill today that would have kicked my but last month, and I made it a point to be the first to the top!
  9. I know your ready to get started! I was also. My advice would be start eating high protein low carb but don't burn yourself out on liquids to soon. You will have plenty of time with that. Start walking and get plenty of water. It wil be here before you know it.
  10. I had both done at the same time. Everything went great. No problems. I'm five weeks out and still can't lift heavy thing or I feel a pull in my chest. I should get released to do more next week.
  11. Awesome! Keep up the good work!
  12. I was sitting in my Dr office today. Talking with the nurse about my weight. I started at 251 today I was 217. It was going fast at first but has slowed down the last few weeks:( as I was complaint about this, I looked down and realized my legs were crossed. I just stopped and started crying. This was a huge moment for me. It has been years and I'm not complaining anymore. Today was a great day!!!
  13. I'm almost Four weeks out. Counting my two week pre-op diet I've lost 30lbs. I think this sounds good but the scale has not moved in ten days. I'm starting to panic. The first few days I started purée I dropped below 400 calories a day. I'm adding prtein powder and got my calories between 600-700 a day and prtein over 70g carbs under 30g low fat. I'm getting about 45-50oz of water. If anyone has any advice I would love some help. Please!
  14. Also I'm using Bodygold colon clenz, one capsule, everynight. It works greet and is very gentle. It goes down really well for me. I get it at walmart.
  15. My story is similar to yours. I was sleeved on Aug 27 weight that day was 247. Two weeks out I'm at 223. I've been at this weight now for three days. I struggle to get my water in. I'm just moving into the purred stage and doing very well. I haven't been sick at all. Im disappointed that I seem to have stalled already. I meet with my nut tomorrow, looking forward to that. Mostly I'm scared that I want loose as much weight as I need to. I'm not sure where this fear comes from but I think it's from years of dieting and regaining. Good luck to you and me:)
  16. Thanks, good to know!
  17. I was sleeved on Aug 27. I'm feeling good until I lay down at night. When I lay down I feel this pull under my left ribs. It's like a cramp in the stomach but really high up. Has anyone else felt this? Is it normal?
  18. I've had no problems. I have followed Dr Norwoods diet plan and it's working great for me . I started at 251 I was at 237 survey day and today I'm at 223.5 I'm so happy and feel ten years younger already.
  19. Hi all, I'm from Shreveport. I use Dr Norwood and he is great. I had my surgery on 8/27 so far so good. I would love to be in a LA group!
  20. Thanks for your comments. I knew the sleeve staples stay forever. I have two to three staples on four incisions. Sounds like they come out this week. Yea!!!
  21. I'm going on Wednesday to have my drain removed. Does anyone know if they take the staples out then. I don't know why I didn't ask my Doctor this.
  22. I own a salon, my advice would be to first find a hairdresser in your area that you like their work. Ask their professional appenion. Each person needs a cut based on what your hair thickness texture and Aldo if you can stlye it at home. I think most will tell you to go shorter but you can do this a little at a time if your scared. When it's gone it's gone but they can always cut Moore off. I would totally go for heavy highlights. Highlights will give you more body and texture. From your pictures I would go with a Maranda cut and Samantha color from sex in the city! Have fun with a new look!!!
  23. I may feel different than most, but I told everyone. I lived with shame of gaining weight and being over weight for so long. I will not feel bad for making an educated decision that I explored for three years to help myself have a better life. Sure, I had a few friends who didn't understand until I explained the everyday things that I go through. They didn't know I have to wear spanks everyday:( cant go shopping with them because I need a speciatly store. Can't pick something up off the floor, have to ask for seatbelt extenders, that I can't sit in statium seating. I also told them that I would get fast food before dinner with them so they would not know how much I really eat. My friends became very supportive and my biggest cheerleaders after they knew the whole story, they want what's best for me, they just didn't really understand how much I was hiding for years. I don't know if you have done that are if your ready but I made the decision to have my surgery and come out with all of my weight issues and I feel like a huge weight of another kind was lifted. Best of luck, everyone needs a cheerleader!
  24. Surgery was on Monday. First two days were really tuff. I thought I might die day one. They gave me plenty of pain medicine it just was hard on me. I also had a hernia the size of a lime that they removed. Dr. Norwood was great. I'm going home this afternoon. Feeling much better.
