5 Weeks Postop

All I think about is food. Eating it, cooking it. Im having a really rough withdrawal. I really want a sandwich. I miss bread so much. I think my cravings are what make me constantly look at recipes trying to find something to satisfy me. I'm always hungry. Anyone share the same? Or am I just programmed wrong?

Are you getting enough protien? How are your eating habits? Are you eating 4-5 small meals a day and a couple of small snacks. At 5 weeks I think you should be doing just fine. Sounds like you might just need to make a couple of adjustments.

When I am hungry I grab a protein shake! I feel the same way and I am 6 weeks post op. Its hard! It is not easy ...its so hard for me cause i have 4 kids and constantly cook all the good stuff but its not easy! Hang in there. I miss sandwiches too! I am Italian so i miss my bread but it is mind over matter ..i feel the same way you are not alone!

I find if I eat solid food, "chicken or beef" for example. I get full really fast. I try to stay away from soups or liquid food that goes straight through me. I hope this helps!

I'm three months out so that may not help you yet but it will:)
