  1. I hate when my husband calls me " THE Wife" like I am notorious or something lol...I never call him hubby but I sometimes abbreviate as hubs or husb when texting or writing.
  2. I was sleeved on 11/7 and I have been sleeping in my stomach for the last 2 days and it actually makes me sleep better because it feels like it is holding my insides steady... Everyone is different though:)
  3. I was sleeved on the 7th too. I was in the hospital until Sunday bc my sleeve is J shaped due to my anatomy and my swallow study showed a slow passage of contrast at the bottom of my sleeve due to the loop. I have not had vomiting but I have nausea still. The doc just wants to take things slowly and wait and see how my body responds before corrective surgery. So far so good... I am having trouble with getting down fluids and that painful air in chest feeling. What works for me is sucking on Popsicles and thicker liquids like light n fit vanilla yogurt from a spoon.Warmer liquids also work well for me but I have to have small sips or use a spoon for broth. I am not getting in enough fluid yet the most I have managed is 34 oz in one day but yesterday was only 28. I also walk around my block to get rid of the air or gas still in my body from surgery I walk very slowly for about 1/2 mile and it seems to help. Do you have anti nausea meds at home?I take 40 mg zofran a few times a day to combat nausea. My doctor did say to me that swelling seems to be worse after day 4 or 5 and I am definitely feeling more uncomfortable. Try a variety of things and I am sure you will find something that works:)
  4. Fluids are going down well. I do hate the air bubble in my chest when I swallow to quickly and thin liquids like water seem to trouble me most. Sugar free Popsicles are my friend:)
  5. I am ok. I had to stay in hospital until Sunday because my swallow study didn't go well contrast did not pass through my system fast enough. My anatomy is different so my sleeve is sort of J shaped and things seem to slow down at the bottom loop. I am praying that as it heals it will function fine.So far so good the doc wants to wait and see what happens before we rush back into surgery to correct it.
  6. Hey everyone, My Doc let me go home today. he can't say I am 100% in the clear but I am tolerating a Stage 2 full liquid diet without any nausea or vomiting . He wants to take a conservative wait and see approach which I am glad about. So keep praying for me that my sleeve heals and functions the way it is supposed to despite it's odd shape:)

  10. Idk if you guys have tries this but last night( I am still in hospital) they have me a little packet of Hormel Propass to add to my soup it was a tiny packet with 6 grams protein and 30 calories and it was unflavored. My husband found some on CVS that I am going to get....
  11. I am drinking some clear liquids and I am waiting or my doctor to do rounds this morning so he can tell me what his solander for me are . Perhaps he will do another swallow study to see if things have improved but I am not sure. I appreciate all of the prayers and continuing to do so...
  12. I am still in hospital he doesn't seem to be in a rush to discharge me ... He said it is better to have the re operation within3-4 days of original surgery otherwise the body will be acting crazy and swelling and then we'd have to wait 6 weeks . He says he is not at a re operation decision yet he just wants to watch and wait a little a d see what my body does...
  13. Thank you everyone for your prayers keep them coming. I know with god at my side anything can happen:)
  14. I will repost what I wrote in the other November forum here...I was sleeved on Wednesday:) My swallow study showed things weren't moving through my sleeve as fast as they should be so I have not anything to eat or drink since Wednesday morning. My doc is talking about worse case scenario being re-operation with conversion to bypass if things don't start working soon.. Turns out my stomach and now my sleeve is shaped like a letter J and the contrast is slowed by the loop at the bottom of my sleeve I have had no nausea or vomiting so my Doc is going to let me try some liquid to see how it goes... Pray for me that everything passes through well and I don't need re-operation...
  15. Ok so I had my swallow test yesterday and the contrast has a hard time making it through the loop at the bottom of my J shaped sleeve...I haven't had anything to drink since before surgery. My doc is letting me try clear liquid today to see how I tolerate it as the contrast did move through just VERY SLOWLY... I feel like things are waking up down there my sleeve is making a lot of noise and I have started ton pass gas. I am hoping that everything was just sluggish after the anesthesia and that all is going to be well. I was also having a problem with urine retention in my bladder after the anesthesia which is resolving on his own so I am hoping this thing with the sleeve is more of the same and I am going to be good to go:)I hope everyone else is doing well!!!

  18. I am sleeved I am in my room waiting for the nurse to home so I can do my laps... I am so thirsty I will be glad to have my swallow study later... Pray for me all goes well my doctor is worried that the length and shape of my stomach may cause my new sleeve to fold up on itself once it gets food or anything in it because it is shaped like letter J.He said he thinks I will be fine but it is a concern . I am just getting to the forum because the dilaudid I am on makes me loopy.Anyway as I said please pray I don't need additional operation:)
  19. I will be getting sleeved @730 am tomorrow and I am excited and nervous.I am double excited since My President won a 2nd term!I hope to be out of surgery to watch they say about the election on the View tomorrow . I will keep y'all updated
  20. It was cute but he was mentally challenged. Most of these other people are just morons lol. I got mad at my second grade daughter yesterday for saying "hitted" I know she is only 7 but she is in the GT program at school and I know that she knows better.I hate when my husband who is from the Midwest says Tuesdee or Wensdee instead of Tuesday or Wednesday. I also hate when he says Windy's instead of Wendy's.That is all
  21. Wishing the best for all of you Nov 2nd Sleevers!
  22. Really? We are Sleeve Twins I am to be sleeved on 11/7 too!
  23. Ok so I went out on a limb and actually tried a RTD recommended by my Bariatric Clinic and it is the EAS Advantage Carb Control in French Vanilla and it is not bad. It sort of reminds of vanilla rice or soy milk in flavor and texture...I can't stand the thick sliminess of some of the other shakes or the heavy whey taste. I am going to see what kind of recipes I can make with this:) These are also pretty inexpensive at $4.99 per 4 pack @ Target.
