  1. I am way tired... I force myself to walk around my block a couple times most days but then I sit around like a log afterward lol.
  2. The program is very easy they give you a checklist to complete and then once complete if you are a good candidate you have surgery. I hope you have already been to the info seminar if not there maybe a wait because the program was anticipating being shut down at least temporarily...let me know where you are I. The process and I would be glad to give you info. I completed my checklist October 15 and was sleeved on Nov 7th by Dr. Harnisch who is AWESOME!!!
  3. Great to see some locals on this forum!
  4. Yes it will be 2 weeks on Wednesday . I am in San Antonio and was sleeved at SAMMC:)
  5. Good luck to everyone being sleeved today:)
  6. I was sleeved on the 7th and my doc does both.He does water and air at the end of the surgery before closing to test for leak. He does barium swallow next day not just for leak but to make sure sleeve is functioning as it should.
  7. Lucky you! I feel like this liquid diet is killing me and I am supposed to go until the 26th my surgery was on the 7th...I confess I have had a few bites of very soft things I just had I chew it to mush and I was fine. If I see one more protein drink I am going to scream it is making me nauseous just thinking about one....
  8. Update Day of surgery on 11/7/12 weight 218 Today's weight 212
  9. Correction I said that before getting on the scale today;) I have lost 2 whole pounds :/
  10. 5'2 Highest weight 234 size 18 bottom XXL-2x tops Pre Op Diet start 227 Day of Surgery 11/7/12 size 16 bottom XXL too 218 Current weight 216 same size as day of surgery Goal weight 135/140 size 6/8?
  11. Glad you are going to the doc. Warm to touch with red streaks could be a sign of infection. It is listed on my discharge instructions. Hopefully if it is they can nip that in a bud with some antibiotics .
  12. I am jealous I haven't lost a pound yet... Day of Surgery 218 1 week out 218
  13. I eat 0% Fage Greek yogurt not the fattening kind. You can lose weight eating cheese and peanutbutter if your calorie count is still low. I have done a lot of weird diets and come to the conclusion for myself that it is about calories in vs. calories out period for weightloss. This is the reason for my frustration bc I know that in any other situation at <600 calories a day I would be losing.
  14. It is normal. They brought me some hospital pj pants on my 3rd day in hospital and I couldn't do up the buttons but by my 5th morning which was Sunday I could button them just fine:)
  15. I am not really hungry however I have the desire to eat since I am still in the liquid stage I am allowed yogurt and pudding but I am tired of sweet tasting things.I cannot seem to take in all my liquid I am stuck between 30- 40 ounces as I still have an uncomfortable air feeling in my chest when I swallow.
  16. That is how I feel. If I had just cut my calories to 600 or less daily a week ago without surgery I would have lost at least 5 lbs by now. I was a serious crash dieter for a while so I know I would have so for me it just doesn't make sense:\
  17. I have been moving but maybe I will try to do a little more. My doc has not cleared me for any real exercise so I have just been walking laps around my block which makes a convenient 1/2 mile loop:)
  18. Ok I don't know of someone already posted about something like this subject.... I am annoyed bc I was sleeved on the 7th and after 2 days of nothing by mouth period 1 day of cleats only and 5 days of full liquid of 600 cals or less daily I have lost not 1 pound since day of surgery... I know I was on IV fluid for5 days but I have been off of them for 5 days and was hoping to see at least a couple of pounds gone.... I am not happy about this as you can tell
