  1. Sleeved 8/14 went from an 18/20 now a 16 some 14s depending on cut. Weight down from 224 to 198. Diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol meds all gone two weeks ago! Never felt better, I'm even noticing a difference in my work out clothes...using spandex type pants and rocking them!!!
  2. I would say go for it as soon as you can. I'm 9 weeks post op and very happy. Never experienced pain other than gas pain and that resolved itself quickly. So in my opinion, go for it! Best wishes to you.
  3. What a great way to think like that. Doesn't seem like I've lost 30%.
  4. It's true CO, it's easier said than done. You'd think with a smaller belly, our weight loss would be greater, but nope not the case with me! Oh we'll patience was never a virtue for me!
  5. I am curious and a little worried at the same time. I was sleeved on 8/14 and to date I've lost 25 lbs. I know everyone is different, but I feel my weight loss has been slow going in comparison to other people on this forum. When I started this weight loss process, I weighed 224 and now 199. Am I going to be a slow loser or am I doing something wrong? I don't want to waste my honeymoon stage. . Down and depressed.

  7. Sleeved: 8/14/12 Start weight: 224 Weight today: 197 What you eating and how much daily: some soft foods due to the fact that its easier at work (I teach and don't have much time to eat). Daily work out: not as much as I want but doing some resistance and some light cardio How hungery are you?: not too much and when I am, by the time I fix something to eat, my appetite goes away. How you feel physically: great, like I've never had surgery. How you feel emotionally: emotionally sound Are you glad you chose the sleeve?: definitely! No regrets! Anything extra to say?: wish I could lose more a little faster but I'm patient!
  8. Me too! I get an occasional twang in my stomach from eating something new but typically not.
  9. I am now 8 weeks post op and couldn't be happier. My doctor was/is amazing, and has a very supportive staff too. I did not experience any kind of pain or set backs either. Go for it!
  10. That's me too! Just took a lot of big clothes out of the closet! Boy did that feel good!!
  11. Please tell us what you've done. I was sleeved close to the same time you were 8/14 and was a tight 18 and now a comfortable 16 in some pants. I feel it's slow going. Please share what you're doing....maybe I'm doing something wrong or not enough.
  12. I just got approved to eat salad and raw veggies too. I believe we got sleeved on the same day. Doctor said to take it slow and listen to my body,
  13. I just have to dance, scream, and yell I hit onederland!!!! I'm so besides myself! Date of Surgery 224 Today 198 Priceless!
  14. What is your secret? What foods are you eating for your meals?
  15. I still get some irritation even 6 weeks post op, but the problem is that I'm sensitive to the glue on band aids and surgical tape. So glad that part is over.
  16. Tomorrow I will be 6 weeks post op and have noticed that when it's time for me to eat my meal, I can't. It's almost as if my stomach closes up. I have to eat a yogurt of some sort or something light as in creamy like pudding or cheese. Is this normal? Also I'm noticing less and less what intake. I don't mean to. Why is it that I'm starting to not eat or drink when early on, I was able to? Going to see doc next week Wed. but curious of these new findings.
  17. I've tried all three and I was fine. I was worried about the bread though. I think it was more psychological than anything, but I try to stay away. When I ate it I had no choice...it was try to eat that or nothing for a very long time. I took a. Ery long time to eat it.
  18. I'm curious. For those that have lost a bit of weight, did your feet shrink in shoe size? I. Wondering because mine got bigger through pregnancy, I'm wondering if they will go down with weight loss. I don't want to get shoes for the fall only to discover my feet are too small for the shoes/boots.
  19. Best wishes to you. Welcome to your new and improved life!
