  5. I've been wanting to try that, but for the life of me I can't find it. Is there another name for it? And how much protein?
  6. Hi Slenderella, I keep hearing how painful it is to swallow, but I'm curious. What does it feel like and where do you feel the pain, in your throat or stomach area? I'm glad you are doing better. Please continue to let us know how you are doing.
  7. The nurse from my surgeon's office told us to expect pain every now and then from the side the stomach comes out while recovering. She said to use ice pack to help bring swelling and take pain meds. Hope that works. Feel better!
  8. Mine was cancelled from yesterday to possibly the August 14th, if I get better and asthma under control! To think, I was this close to having it done. Oh well things happen for a reason.
  9. what about carnation instant breafast. i like the sugarfree with skim milk = 13g of protein. its actually good considering I couldnt tolerate any f the protein shakes during pre-op i havent had surgery b/c i ended up with bronchitis and surgeon felt it was better to wait. good luck!
  10. Well....today was my surgery that did NOT happen! My husband and I made it to the hospital when BAM, my nerves got the best of me and I started to cough uncontrollably. I knew I had bronchitis but we thought it would be resolved by the time I had surgery. I think my nerves and the bronchitis together caused me to cough so much the anesthesiologist felt I was not ready for the surgery and decided to postpone. I'm ok with this and I firmly believe things happen for a reason. If this surgery is meant to be, it will. I'm meeting with my regular doctor to check on my bronchitis and then get cleared again for surgery next week. So the saga continues!
  11. I am so emotional and so nervous. I'm actually starting to second guess myself and getting doubtful. I feel like my insides are knotted so tight that I can't think straight. I didn't do as well as I would have liked on my liquid diet but I couldn't tolerate the Protein shakes, I kept saying I have time and now it's tomorrow. Oh my gosh, I always dreamed of being thin and healthy and now that time has come. God bless to all those with upcoming surges. May you all have Godspeed in your recovery! Here's to seeing less of of you and Me!! <3
  12. I'm scheduled for August 1st. But I'm nervous because on Friday I was told I have bronchitis!! I'm on antibiotics and will be done with the z pack the day before surgery. I'm flipping out but praying all will be fine come Wednesday.
