  1. I am 6 days out and have experimented with some soft foods. My Dr wanted me 2 weeks liquid. Items I've tried: avocado, won ton soup, smooshed banana. All advise or input welcome. I get full quickly and immediately get gas and/or have burping other than that I feel fine. Comments?
  2. There must be areason why at 4 months in this happens. I wonder if the initial shock nutritionally and physically produces the hair loss and depending on how well one adjusts explains why some lose hair and some don't. I read somewhere it's a symptom of malnutrition. Any thoughts?
  3. Hopefully today I will have my meds ready in liquid form. Pricey!
  4. Hope he doesn't overdo it
  5. Yay there's hope
  6. Oh and one more thing...don't let anyone's opinion of what u eat be a source of embarrassment. (insert 4 letter word)...them, this is your life!
  7. I can completely understand. I eat for comfort as well and I am 5 days post op. We HAVE TO break the cycle and find our comfort elsewhere or we will not be successful. I worry about this myself. It is something I was born and bred to do EAT! I finally figured out the extent to which I use food and it's scary. I WILL do whatever it takes though. I take antidepressants too, and like they all said u can't stop abruptly, this could be contributing to your anxiety. Take a deep breath, suck on a worther's (lol they taste good, I miss that too) and know that u are worth all the effort and sacrifice. Much love, Suzie
  8. Congrats on your surgery! I felt horrible nausea and was actually throwing up air. The trapped gas was very uncomfortable. So glad u didn't have that. Good luck on your journey????
  9. I've always been a daily weigh in person. I don't get discouraged until too much time passes without a loss. Of course I'm hangin tough and looking forward to EVERYTHING
  10. Haven't lost anything since my surgery. . 5 days post op.
  11. I sooo don't want to lose my hair

  13. Ms. Barbie So excited to have an anniversary sister. And thanks sooo much your comments are right on, that's exactly how I feel. Would love to exchange posts during this journey . Suzie
  14. @tallysfunny. Your right if we could have done it before we would have. When I turned 50 I pretty much said thats it. Can't keep fooling myself. Everything was starting to become an effort. My Mom passed about a year ago and her life was cut short from being obese. She was only 74. I went to my first seminar on her birthday and I vowed I would not repeat her legacy. I know she's looking down on me and cheering me on. So let's embrace out journey and take the bad with the good. Loose skin and all
  15. From what I hear it grows back but I'm curios who didn't have to experience it.
  16. Hang in there I felt the same way. I'm 4 days post op and I know I need this to live a long healthy life. The last couple of days before surgery I was scared and shed quite a few tears. The morning of my surgery I was all about "let's do this"!
  17. S there anyone who DIDN'T have excessive hair loss?
  18. Oh and BTW your so right the gas trapped was the worst part, I was actually vomiting air!
