I live about 40 minutes away from Springfield Mass. to live right on the border of Vermont and Massachusetts. I recently moved up from Connecticut to Vermont so So I chose what what I knew would be the best place for me to have the sleeve done.
That's amazing you Lost that much!!!
Tell me how your experience was when you woke up after surgery???
When I had woken up from surgery all I felt was the need to go back to sleep was so exhausted. I was completely pain free I guess I'm not normal (Lol) I did have trouble moving around in bed though. The nurses kept telling me to push my pain button but I had no need for it. I did have gas pains on my 3rd surgery hot packs helped tremendously.

Hi where in mass are you having it done? I had mine in Wareham with Dr. Kruger
-
I had my 9 month follow up with Dr. Kruger a few weeks ago and he didn't know who I was. I had a leak and ended up with 4 surgeries and many visits with him and plenty nights at Tobey and so after all that I was shocked he didn't remember me. Lol

My twins were natural and a blessing. I read that many woman that are in their prime stages 28-35 are the ones having the sleeve done get pregnant fast. Most that are in their early-late 30s have a higher chance of conceiving twins.I read something like that lol
5 mos today and ill be told their genders next Friday. No weight gain yet either so in Super Excited!!
Congrats that's great to hear no weight gain either. Double the Love

I was curious how much weight gain is expected during pregnancy. I know everyone probably has different numbers I'm starting to plan for my little bean and curious how much most of you have gained. I'm 8 months post op and down 76 pounds bringing me to 182. I know in my heart i should probably wait till I get down some more but truthfully I can't get this thought out of my head. I want a baby so bad this was the reason for my surgery..

What's the pylori test I don't recall that one and was just wondering how far you had come last time around. I myself had done it twice as well I backed out the 1st time around for the fact that I didn't like the surgeon and it was my 1st surgery but I'm so happy I did because the sleeve wasn't around the year before I had done it. They start sending in the insurance approvals as soon as you start the classes your almost there

Good luck. I was sleeved at Tobey on 6/11/2013 KrUger. Great surgeon. You are making the right choice.
How long did he keep you just wondering if it was just me that he only kept me for one day. Isn't the Tobey staff just wonderful there

Thanks' date=' Starr! I'm NERVOUS but I know I'm making the right choice. Just trying to prepare, pack and stay as calm as possible, LOL. My arrival time is 10 a.m. at Tobey![/quote']My surgery was in the middle of Frankenstorm 6 am sharp. Don't forget Chapstick I had seen it on my list and wondered why I would need it but your lips get so dry it's a must have I also had my b/f bring me a small table fan it was so hot and that was around Halloween. Gas x strips I snuck in with me was a must for the gas pain and tons of hot packs also helped. The nurses was calling the other floors for me for the hot packs they are so awesome there I was there so much I actually miss them Lol

I would be careful and not go crazy on the shakes because a lot of us have tried and boughten shakes and then our taste buds changed immediately after surgery and it was a waste of money ( there is Premier Protein which just about everyone on my Facebook groups love they are the pre made ones and the chocolate is so great they are 160 calories 5 grams of carbs and 1 gram of sugar and 30 grams of Protein

I was told the same thing by Kruger himself and the RNY # are getting smaller as the sleeves are rising. I'm very happy with my decision I've lost 75 and feel like a totally new person. I had a friend who had Streeter and wanted the lap band and he wouldn't do it so she ended up with the RNY I think he only like to do them stick with your decision girl it is in my opinion the ultimately best way to go
