  11. I just got my approval last Wednesday and my surgery is October 30th. This will be my first surgery ever and I'm excited about it but then scared to death. The thought of me lying on the gurney knowing they gonna inject me with something to knock me out is the scariest part for me.

    7 Days To Go

I need this surgery done ASAP I didn't want to stall it until school break I feel the surgery is more important right now. One of my professors wants me back in a week so I think I'm gonna go to the dean I know that the school must have some sort of allowance for medical illness...hopefully

    7 Days To Go

No pre op diet except for the day before. I just got a call from a nurse at the hospital they need to do a 20-30 minute intake over the phone it's becoming so real. Well scared or not I'm not gonna let that get in the way I need this surgery.
  18. I'm a college student how long should I expect to be out for. Surgery is the 30th and not sure how long I should tell my professors that I will be out for.

    Coffee

I'm happy to hear that some of you can still get their coffee so maybe I can sneak a cup in a few times. I'm a mocha fanatic and I know the mocha would be to much just yet but just a plain old coffee would satisfy me for a bit.

  21. Welcome Marilyn, I am new to this to I just got my insurance approval last week and having surgery next Tuesday. It's completely normal to be scared as many of us are excited about it and nervous at the same time.

    Coffee

I wonder why each surgeon is different. My surgeon says no coffee for 3 months and not to even try decaf because there is small amounts of caffeine in decaf.
