    Post Op Massage?

After any real massage you are supposed to drink lots of Water. This is due to the toxins that a real massage will release into your system. You need to flush it out. I don't really think you will get enough water in to make this happen and you may feel more like S**t because of it. Sorry, IMABear

I Have A Conundrum Need To Vent....

Have the One on One talk with the boss. As the others suggested. Do Not let your emotions play in the talk. All business. Just let him know your concern and get him to promise/guarantee you are not losing your job. Then Relax and enjoy. Get your surgery and see where his honesty is.. Good Luck. IMABear

  16. Hello All, I Kinda introduced myself in another topic on here. But, here is some more. 42y/o (43 in Aug) Been heavy most if not all of my life. Except up through High School with Swimming and Waterpolo and a Cali State Lifeguard. Ever since college started gaining. Had to lose for the military, man I looked good after bootcamp. Then started gaining again, always on the fatboy program in the military. I could work circles around the Drunks (they never had to be in a program). Had Cancer at 28yo. Man, I though what a great weight loss program I will get over this and be soooo skinny. Well, lost damn near all my Testosterone and Baawoop on came the fat, again. Testosterone injections every two weeks now. Still can't keep the weight off. Was still very lethargic, low and behold my endocrinologist (damn he is good) discovered I had Hemochromatosis (way to much damn Iron in my blood). A condition that has the potential to kill off your liver, kidneys and everything else. Oh, and makes you sluggish and lethargic. Have had that under control for a few years now (have to give up 500cc of blood every two months) Still can't keep any weight off. Tried Jenny Craig a number of times. First round lost 65 lbs..... Oops, that came back faster than I lost it. Second time, 35lbs... Oops that is now back with a vengeance. I have a huge Abd Hernia (from my Cancer Surgeries) that can't be repaired until I can lose and keep off the weight. I am always in pain. My Feet hurt My Knees hurt, stairs hurt the most. My Back is killing me, all the time. My Lower ribs hurt most of the time. I do love and so far am still able to keep up with my wonderful Teenage Daughters. I did some serious hiking this summer so far. And even went rappelling with them. (Check out RedRiverAdventures.com) you might catch a photo of a fat man dangling in the air from a rope, thats me. I want to be able to do this more and more for many year. So, I am attending the first step Seminar with my Dr on this Thursday. Thank You for listening.... Ok, reading IMABear

    Shoulder Pain

Hey TinaMari, I do believe the Vegas Nerve travels near the Stomach. When your stomach is bloated you can have referred pain up to your shoulder. Thus, when you get that Gas out you no longer have the pressure on that nerve. I think your Doc might agree. Best of luck, IMABear
  21. Hello All, I guess it is time for me to start asking questions and kinda introduce myself. I am a 42y/o male (43 in Aug). Im currently at 315bs. I have tried many diets in the past and can't keep the weight off after i lose. I will be making my first appointment in the next few weeks. My question for now is: Currently if I don't eat (do to being to busy to eat or wait to long to eat) I will start to get a pretty good headache that will most likely turn into a Migraine. My blood sugar is pretty normal at all times. My concern with the Sleeve is that with such low intake, I think I will always have a Headache... Did anyone else have this problem or concern. Thank You
  22. Thank you Pebbles, when do you have your surgery? Thank you Lauranbob, I will be able to get through the Caffeine withdrawal. Been there done that. I never gave much thought to the headaches being Protein (lack of) related. I will have to monitor that. I do notice if I keep up with my H2O Im less likely to have a headache. What Protein shakes do you use? IMABear
  23. Ohh, I am very familiar with the Caffeine Withdrawl Headache.... Ouch These headaches are more from not eating. I don't think from the caffeine. Worried that eating so little will cause me headaches. Lauranbob, so you no longer have your headaches? Pepples, unfortunately for this reason.... But Glad to be in the same boat with ya
