  1. Just waiting on my surgery date' date=' can't wait to start my new journey... Gotta love Aetna!! <3 Good luck to all the March & April sleevers! #teamsleevers[/quote']

Congrats! How long did it take for your approval? My packet was received today by Aetna and I am scheduled for March 5. Praying...

  2. I am scheduled to be sleeved on March 5, 2013. I contacted my surgeons coordinator today to find out the status of my approval because I am now on Day 7 of a 14 day liquid pre op diet and you know getting a little anxious :):(...to my dismay she told me that they may not know the approval status until this friday or the day before my scheduled surgery. My surgeon has told me not to concern myself about the approval because I am a prime candidate.

I have Aetna with a BMI 49.7 and pre-hypertenstion. i have completed all of my clearences and so far Aetna has paid for everything.

Should I be overwhelming myself with the thought that next Tuesday will come and go??

  3. I was feeling the same way my surgery was

January 22' date=' 2013 too. I'm getting in over 1000 calories a day. Usually I start the day off oatmeal and then I have tuna for lunch and then I'll have a chicken salad or tuna again for dinner. I'll have maybe 1 fruit during the day like a banana and then after dinner I'll have a snack as in sugar free pudding. The oatmeal I usually use Stevie as a sweetener, 2 tablespoons of canned milk for Vitamin D. And a little bit of butter.

Usually my Meals are no more than 4 ounces.

I usually drink 40 and 50 ounces of Water everyday.

I will drink all the way until midnight just to get in the ounces of Water that I need. At midnight And yet the scale does not move downward. Instead I have gained 4 pounds . Pre op 225. Today 204.5. I was sad too. But I have noticed that I have lost inches in the waist, neck, and bust.

I have decided today to increase my Protein and instead of the minimum of 60 I will try to get as close to 80 as possible. Other than that I do not know what I'm doing wrong. I leisurely walk a mile everyday and not all at once. Last week I exercise using walk away the pounds video.

    Hi Qween.Bee!

My name is Afreeka and I will be sleeved by dr Dobruskin prayerfully on March 5. Tommorow is my 3rd visit with her. May I ask how did the approval process go for you. Dr.D tells me that I dont need to worry about that but I am. My BMI is 49 and I have high blood pressure. Also I am curios about your experience with RWJ. How was your copay/coimsurance handled if applicable?

  4. Hi everyone!

I am scheduled for my sleeve on March 5 and the past couple of weeks I have begun to feel larger then life. I was wondering if anyone else had those feelings before surgery? Suddenly all my clothes feel so small and I am begining to notice every lump and bump.

I think the anxiety of having a date scheduled but approval not received has me stressed out. Has anyone had either of these feelings?

  5. I have never been a blogger but after reading many of the supportive posts I was moved to join the site!

My name is Afreeka I live in NJ and I am the mother of 3. I have been scheduled for my sleeve in September and I have mixed emotions. Excited, scared feeling like I failed has anyone else had those feelings? My family is split in supporting me about the surgery. Often I get the response you do not need it you can do it on your own.

I am looking forward to sharing my experience with you all and before and after pics!!!

Can someone tell me how I get the tracker that is on everyones post LOL?
