  2. I am doing great! I get to go home today. Just the normal surgery pain but they are good at keeping it under control. Keep hydrated and positive! You will do great. Cant wait to see how much I am down now. Lots of iv fluid so I wont freak if I'm upgood luck. Keep me updated
  3. YOu will do just great! I had the same attitude you do and today is my last day of liquid diet. It really did go by fast! Positive attitude makes all the difference in the world!! Good luck
  4. I found if I drank a protein drink it helped. Today I am clear liquids so nothing much helps at all. I no longer feel as hungry as I did at first.
  5. So nice to hear stories like this! I LOVED hearing that you are not boiling hot anymore. I seem to have my own internal furnace! I am at the age that it gets even worse periodically!! lol Thanks for sharing your story
  6. When I first told my family my brother got upset. He thinks it is cheating. (he was drunk) He is very opinionated and of course his way is always the RIGHT way. We argued for a while. He said I really need to research this... REALLY??? did he think I would just one day wake up and say WOW I think I will go sign up for surgery without researching anything?? He wanted me to watch Biggest Loser for 1 season. HA. I told him I wanted him to watch Intervention for 1 season too We finally ended the conversation by me saying I would be more than happy to discuss this with him again sometime when he is sober. He has not brought it up again. Everyone else in my family is very supportive! I have told most of my friends too and they are also supportive. I am a very positive person and presented it in a very positive way to everyone too. 2 days from now I will be sleeved!!! woohoo . I can't wait
  7. Not sure about the iphone. I am also wondering how to put in the before pic??? anyone know??
  8. wow 14 days of clear liquids?? Yay for you for mostly sticking to it! No protein would be hard pre op! I only have to do 9 days of liquid ( protein shakes etc..) and 1 day of clear liquid pre op. You certainly impressed me!!! Sue
  9. My Dr told me that one of the reasons for the pre op is to shrink the liver and area around the stomach for surgery day. They need all the room they can get
  10. I did weigh myself. I lost 4 pounds the first day (fluid I am sure) and then stalled out for a couple of days. I was down 5 last time I checked. Such a good feeling!!
  11. I am on day 6 of my liquid diet. Tonight my husband heated up something that smelled great and it didn't even bother me! I had some Jello while he ate his dinner. While I still miss the chewing, I am not craving other foods. I almost feel like they might upset my stomach at this point. I just thought I would share this for those of you starting the pre op diet. I just keep a positive attitude every day and love watching the scale drop down. Getting a jump start on losing before the surgery has been great!!! Good luck to everyone on their pre op:) Sue
  12. I am still pre op and love to see stuff like this!! Congrats. YOu look fantastic!!
  13. I have a friend that had wls 8 years ago. She is 46 now. She didn't get her period at all anymore after her surgery:) She was very happy about that! I am still pre op so I can't help. I am almost to the stage of not getting it anymore so i am hopeful I will not get it again!!
  14. My insurance required me to meet with her for 6 months. I thought it would take forever but it flew by! She helped me start some new habits and I feel it was very helpful! We talked about chewing food to applesauce consistancy, portion control, smaller utensils, exercise, only drinking Snacks and eating meals etc... We would set goals each month. Good luck
