A New Day
Morning girls, Went to bed at 10pm and up at 2am, wth......I need my beauty sleep. Carole, I was laying in bed thinking about how far you have come. When I met you for lunch the first time, you still had on your special boot. Now you are walking and going to the gym. I'm so happy for you. You go girl! Dawn, I hope you are feeling better. Sucks to get old! Have you clobbered the person with the chocolate filled desk yet? As much as businesses are trying to get their employees healthy, that should just not be allowed. Di, I'm so happy you have great kids that have your back. My girls (Paula, Ange, Dawn & Michele) are all like that. It does make life brighter. Dee, the smiles on everyone's faces, says it all. I'm smiling along as I type this. Hows classes going? Thoughts, prayers and hugs with you. Terri, Your quilt was beautiful. I know Dee will cherish it always. Next time you come to FL Disney, I'm coming over to meet you. Michelle, I feel when you are finally through with your studies, we all need to come to your graduation. We are all so proud of you! I sure hope Nicole is alright! Haven't seen her on Pinterest either. I have two elderly friends on my agenda today. Paying bills for my 91yo and then picking up my 78 yo friend at hospital following a biopsy of lungs. She just won't stop smoking!!!!! Ange's ultrasound should Emilia weighing in at 1 lb 12 oz, 10oz more than Maddy when she was born.lol You all have a great day. Keep on, keeping on.

I feel like DIRT!
This is a good time to get into the LB basics, eating lots of high Protein foods, drinking a lot of Water or sf non carbonated beverages. Start slowly and don't beat yourself up. If you coukd do this on your own, you wouldn't need wls. The key is PROTEIN!!!! Keeps you full longer. Sweets make you crave more. Choose cheese sticks over donuts. You can do this!

Pain meds
Loritab for first 48 hrs. After that, it was a piece of diet cake. Some ppl have no pain after surgery. Try not to worry about the "what if's".

I feel like DIRT!
All I can say is, bad carbs lead to craving more bad carbs. Stick to Protein.

A New Day
Michelle, You have grown up to be just like c-mom.LOL I am so proud. You're lucky I am understanding towards teenage girls. The quilt is beautiful and the pictures put a big smile on my face. I did read everyone's post and all I can say is "I love each and everyone of you and am so proud to be a part of this group". You all make my heart happy! Mom is doing very well. My bro is suppose to go to ER today and get CT scan, so waiting on him to call me. He wants to wait until he hears from Drs office about blood work they did yesterday.Men...... I went to bed at 8pm (wasn't even dark yet) and slept pretty good. Ange and Evan at OB's right now having her scheduled ultrasound. County came by and treated my swamp/garden for mosquito larva and last night came by with spray for adults. In the mean time, we do have Tropical Storm Dorian heading this way. Just one of those years! Love, hugs and prayers for you all.

A New Day
This was a day I would not want to repeat. I didn't sleep all night, lower back hurt and I think it could be another bladder infection. I thought, no big deal, I can sleep in. My sil called at 6:30am, my brother was in terrible pain and could I take him to either ER or Urgent Care. My quess was, he was passing a kidney stone or gallbladder problem. Dr concurred with my kidney stone diagnosis. On top of that, I had to run to bathroom twice b/c I was going to throw up. I had an empty stomach and had not eaten anything so that was good. Ange called and said she was terribly nauseous. It was at this point she lost Juliette, so she is very nervous. I think something is going around. I am just so tired and want to go to bed. Tomorrow is a new day!

2 months post op lap band
LB manufacturers say 1-2 lbs per week, so 11 lbs is great and the inches are even better. Congrats! It can take a few fills before you reach restriction. Just keep with the plan, you're doing great.

so scared help me
I have been put out so many times and I must say, I enjoy it.lol One minute you're there and the next your waking up in recovery. Like a blink of an eye! Being scared, nervous and crying is also normal. You wouldn't be human, if you weren't a little nervous. Good news is, the Drs and nurses are professionals and they take pride in keeping you alive. Now try and relax and think of the new and improved you. Its going to be awesome!

Talk to the Doc
Another great article, Jean. I can't help but think this is also great advice in relationships. I talk too much, hub doesn't listen.lol Thanks for your words of wisdom.

Feeling a little down
I too applaud you for recognizing the difference between real hunger and emotional eating. I'm sorry you are going through a difficult time right now, but sounds like you're handling it like a champ. Don't forget, we are always here for you, when life gets tough.

I think i may have damaged my port!
My Dr told me that it is almost impossible to hurt your port, after having mine flip at 3mths post op.lol Freak thing! He said that the scar tissue helps hold it down and I would think at 14mths you have some serious scar tissue. Maybe just pulled that. I'm not a Dr, so if it doesn't clear up in a few days, better go have it checked out. Sorry about someone being mean to your mom. Who does that kinda thing? Good luck!

A New Day
Other than Dawn's thug problem, sounds like everyone is doing well tonight. That puts a smile on my face. Carole, Sounds like you are getting stronger and stronger. Congrats on the new outfit. I do like the way clothes now feel, more than the scale.lol Glad Jack is feeling well enough to want to get out of the house. Sorry to her about Sushi's new problem, just like humans, its hell to get old. Terri and Dee, I am so excited for you. Give each other a big hug from me. Di, So glad you're enjoying your time at home, with your snoring hub.lol Also glad to hear you're eating right. You have got to take care of you. We need you! Dawn, Your Drs report is giving me mixed emotions. Happy to hear band and gallbladder is ok, but said you are having back pain. You sure those police officers are not just stopping by to check out the hot chick???? That was my first thought.lol I will be happy when you are safe and sound in Omaha. One day closer! Minimi, Keep living up to that name GF. How's your fil doing? Is your son excited about playing football? Inquiring mind... I took Jack & Delaney to the beach today. It was a little rough and Delaney went under, but didn't let it scare her. Both kids are becoming good swimmers. Tomorrow is nail, grocery and sewing day. I hope you all have a wonderful hump day. Love you!

Love, love Love, How will I ever figure out whats going on? Mom moved back in with you? Sorry someone help themselves to your purse. I just don't understand how ppl can live with themselves, after doing such awful things. Obviously, their conscious is dead, prayers being said for their character. Love & Hugs

A New Day
Hi Ladies, I have missed you all so much, along with my home, hub and kids.. As far as mom goes, late last night she was doing "really well", quoting my sister. Haven't called mom yet to get her take. She has had every test to mankind and they can't find anything really wrong. She was really dehydrated and we know how that can affect you. Dawn, sorry to hear you are having reflux. I hope your Dr figures out what the deal is and can fix it. Poor Erika, Glad she didn't break anything. My sister did that same thing when she was a teen. They too thought it was an anemic problem and she did grow out of it. When this happens, is it around her period? Poor Benny, he needs The Dog Whisperer. My cats need The Cat From Hell guy.lol They are all a freaked out mess. Carole, Sounds like you are doing fantastic. Very busy, but sounds like you're handling things "one step at a time". Yes, stay away from the scale. Hope Jack is feeling better. Mini, My daughter was in the marching band, so I totally understand the hours of practice, but it was a very fun part of her teen life. Come on onelander.....Breaking that 2 is sooooo hard, I remember. FYI, breaking 190, 180& 170 seems to be hard too.lol But it can and will be done! You go girl! Dee and Terry, can't wait until pictures.....You both have a great visit. I'll be back,, time to phone my mom 10am
