  1. That is most ppls fears, having never had surgery before, but let me ease your concerns. I have be put out more time than I can remember and its the best part of any procedure. One minute you're there, then your gone and it seems like a minute and you're back again. Just remember, the Drs and anesthesiologist are professionals, they're there to keep you alive and well. You are well monitored for any signs of distress and taken care of. You'll do great! Keep your eye's on the prize and don't allow yourself to think of "what if's".

  3. pretty normal. I will be 1yr post op Oct 15 and I still get the shoulder pain. That is my soft stop, pain only gets worse if you don't.
  4. You wouldn't wash Bon Jovi's sweat off of yourself, at least I wouldn't. Happy belated 19th anniversary, skinny mini! Makes sense that one rockstar would hang out with another rockstar.

  9. no problem flying. Am tightening, loosened with a warm drink and definitely stress tightening.
  10. Just wanted to add, you can have reflux without heartburn. They call it silent reflux. I had it for years with no heartburn and was only found by the erosion in my esophagus before being banded. I now take Prilosec daily symptoms or not. Please talk with your Dr and good luck.
  11. I had port revision 3mths post op, no diet before hand. Port isn't placed by liver, like the band. PS port revision was so much easier than lbs. good luck!
  12. We were banded 10 days apart. Hard to believe a whole year has gone by. In 1 yr I was banded, port revision and 2 knee replacements, I am done!!! If we don't see you, Happy Bandiversary Rockstar!
  13. I knew that CPA exam was going to be tough and can totally understand the stress you must be under. Like most of us, stress= cravings= LBS not being the easy way out.lol The hardest part of my knee replacements hss been the inability to sleep and when laying awake all night, all I want to do is eat. I have not had an eating at night problem, until know.YIKES! Not sure my Dr will buy that excuse..... I bet your 90 challenge is keeping you in good shape. you can do it!

  21. My metabolism was way screwed up way before LBS. 40 plus years of yo-yo dieting and then adding menopause on top of it. LBS has help me lose over 100 lbs, but the last 30 has been kinda difficult b/c of my slow metabolism. Thats why I just went through a doubke knee replacement so I get get moving and rev that fat burner up.lol Good luck to you!

  23. Dawn, your quiche pictures look wonderful, wish I was closer.Only do what you can handle, send peel and stick Cookies in a care package. Peel and stick are what we call the Pillsbury already mixed cookies.lol I'm sure Mini only has time for her CPA studies. Brutal test. You go girl!
